13yrs ago I invited my childhood enemy to my seventh birthday party. He cut in front of me in line for like a ballpit or smth, accused ME of cutting in front of HIM, and I had to sit in time out at my OWN birthday party due to the false accusation. griffin being benched in the game that he bought inspires a very similar response that I had at age 7

The NBA does allow all numerals, but over-fives are still rarer because most players keep their number from college - people only tend to take digits above 5 because another player on their team has their original number or they're from outside the US and played under different rules. Somewhat relevant, nobody in the NBA has ever worn 69. The NBA has never confirmed nor denied rumors that they don't allow it, but Dennis Rodman reportedly requested 69 as his number when he joined the Lakers and got turned down by the NBA's commissioner.
