A bodysuit is obviously Mattel’s way of cheapening out. There was so many other ways to do denim. As much as I don’t want to keep getting more Frankie dolls, I’m a little bit more excited for that Barbie collab. Could be quite fun.

Honestly what I would do too save this Venus is give her one of her past outfits like either Zombie Shake, Coffin Bean, and or I Heart Fashion pieces would elevate the look heck cut of the sleeve of her Ghoul’s Night Out dress and it would look 100 times nicer and make it look so much better then just a plain denim bodysuit

Well for some reason they’re going for Victoria’s Secret Angel so the bodysuit would work with an overskirt belted around her waist. It would’ve been nice if she had a floral pink skirt train to bring more life and drama to the look. It would also really help balance the design bulk of the upper body (bodysuit and wings)

i really don’t think the bodysuit is as horrendous as everyone thinks it is. she’s got a lot going on so an intricate outfit would not only drive up the price, but make the doll incredibly busy. like i genuinely don’t understand everyone’s issue with it.

My thing is that idk what outfit would have fit Venus better than a bodysuit. I have seen an edit that put Venus in an overall/long pants and it just doesn’t work with that vines wings thingie on her back. And a gown would have made less sense. I think my only fix would have been a different color for the bodysuit or as someone suggested a full bodysuit instead of an unitard.

I think the bodysuit being blank blue denim is what makes Venus so bad. It throws the whole thing off. Black, pink, or even a deeper green would have felt a lot more cohesive. Also her whole outfit just doesn't feel very punk, there are so many ways they could played with the eco punk climate change rally idea but what they went with just feels underwhelming. It feels way too glam for what they were going for. That being said her face and the box are both stunning.

Literally a solid black Leotard is all she really needs. Maybe a few rhinestones, but the blue denim clashes too much and makes her design look too busy. It's weird that I'm seeing people say that people have a problem with it being too simple when thats really not it.

@Courtly_Jester My parents have a toy store and they saw it up for pre-order. I believe it was $40 pre-order and $50 msrp. So it's safe to say it's gonna be $50 on Amazon. Also it may not just be a amazon exclusive but don't take my word for it. This isn't mattel itself but another company. I also saw Nefra up for pre-order and the hotel playset. Nefra will be $25 and the hotel around $75ish.

It's not directly connected to mattel but the dolls were up for pre-order and they were a buy order of $40 msrp$50. I also saw the hotel which is $75ish and Nefra which was $25. It's possible that the creeproductions will be available at places other than Amazon but I'm not sure. BTW everything I told you is pre-order arriving possibly in spring or summer.

They put all the time and effort into everything else, except the outfit, which is the most important piece to bring the entire look together. I have mixed feelings about her. And the box gives a playline doll instead of a collector doll. I don't know; I'm mixed about her.

I love everything about Fang Club Venus except her denim bodysuit. It just feels a little incomplete compared to how the rest of her doll looks. I think maybe if her body suit had some of magenta on it, it wouldn't stand out so much. Like maybe some rose embroidery?

My main gripe with this Venus' bodysuit is color. Why not red or at least green denim instead of regular denim? It would bring it all together, imo. It looks not cohesive.

I'm gonna say something controversial and say my issue with Venus isn't the denim bodysuit (though I wish it was like a dress or 2 piece yk) and is instead the green halo thing and the shade of green they've used on her. Ik it's petty but the green IMO is too forest green and not lime enough, yk? Also the green halo thing makes her look like an extension of the power ghouls line.

I love this doll, but denim is horrible for the environment it may be a natural fiber but it takes an obscene amount of water to make its awful I never buy denim, and although I love the denim look on Venus its a super miss on her eco friendly mo, I think they should have tried something else like recycled materials

man, this venus is such a disappointment, she’s literally perfect EXCEPT for the denim bodysuit 😩 if she’s on mattel’s holiday sale at the end of the year i’d consider buying her but $50 is too much for a doll that needs to be immediately restyled. i’m very interested in the barbie-style frankie and the beetlejuice 2pack (especially if we’re getting a gay wedding) but i will wait for stock photos before deciding if i’m hype for them. 👀
