They do not, Seltas Queen uses the male, he is "zombified" by her pheromons, if they coordinate why when they're hungry they kill the male to feast upon ?!

It's less coordination and more coercion by Seltas Queen. She injects a Seltas with a copious amount of pheromones which renders it completely under her control. It's straight-up an abusive relationship that Seltas Queen carries out with literally every male member of their species.

I found that scene so refreshing, it’s nice to actually see a predator recognise the hunt is no longer in its favour and flees. It plays into the MH theme that these otherwise fantastic creatures still act like actual animals.

@@ES-dp6tw yup, it's really really good, and also is data to measure how strong Nerg actually is, some people tried to claim it was around black dragon level which is nuts, it can defeat almost any regular elder on a fair match, that's it for it's strength when truly it's brightest atribute is how smart it is

@@BigLord two ideas: double fireball, where los rises above ian and they both snipe you at the same time Or: you use los’s pin attack, where he grabs you in his claws and tosses you to ian on the ground, who either does a poisoning tail swipe or some kind of bite.

Imagine a dance between rathian and rathalos like this. Though instead of fire it is a combination of attacks that includes both of their fire ball and poison. First would be them going in formation, rathalos flying above rathian. Then rathalos attacks with its claws then rathian uses her tail afterwards then after that rathalos uses fireball in the air then rathian attacks with a bigger fire ball in the ground. It ends with a dance in the air ending with a ton of fire balls both coming out from them.

I want to believe that Teostra and Lunastra are only seen pair up in World because others fought in older generations have been younger ones who have yet to find their mate. Elder Dragons travel to New World to die, so it is likely that most of Teostras and Lunastras we see are those old ones who either have lost their partner or have traveled together to New World...to die together. "Normal" Teostras and Lunastras are old ones who have traveled to New World to die, but some might have powers enough to be Tempered, however it is likely that due to Elders Recess being highly competitive area, local mature Teostras and Lunastras are by default Tempered and most powerful of them, that rule above them all are Arch Tempered pair.

I find Teostra to be a mostly fodder-free kill (especially the Supply Cache event with the Tempered Teostra that gives you many Sealed Feystones) which is especially true when I gem in Blast and Fire Resistance, for something like Lunastra; I'm basically required to use Windproof and Minds Eye (cos her non-weak points are rock hard) to ensure that I retain my sanity for future hunts!

The first time I discovered Luna 💜 my friend was like DON'T pack flash bombs (I ALWAYS pack fash bombs till that point) I ask "Why?" He laughed and said just don't Gia. We went to the encounter and i was in awe 😍 once the encounter started my friend said wanna know why I said don't pack fash bombs? (I was still admiring from afar) he flashed her and booked it! Well.....I found out why you don't flash her 😒. Memorable time though.

I find it ibteresting that Teostra uses his supernova so potently one or few supernovas can literally cae it with still fresh lava pits after months. Which goes to show how hot thise flames are and those explosions in my guess is to also deal with fire resistant monsters since if your main element is weaker to him then it only makes sense to make a fire so potent that it cracks their defense or kill his opponent with cuncusive energy. While lunastra isn't able to create explosions as damaging and strong as Teostra, that's why she is the one who looks for her mate, to make a home for her and the rwason why she develop a much more potent fire of blue to compensate. Whuch is usually more than enough to deal with most threats apart for ones with insurmountable fire resistance. All in all I'd sum it up to Teostra is a Generalist, and Lunastra is a Specialist Also when we get a Variant of the 2 I'd like to see Teostra( Tyrant Teostra) mixing his powder with dragon energy. Maybe a he can control which area of powder to detonate to save up powder sonce the mix might be rare for him. And when he goes onto rage he may use his Dragon element more in which case he would harder to flinch due to shutting his brain off to not get the dragon kill him. And his super nova be him enlargening his flame for them to explode that includes the hunter if they dont get it out in time And for Lunastra (Dictator Lunastra) to also find Dragon and basically ise it like a laser beam leave it in the air to be triggered later. And in raged form would start using it on the ground to create Eruptions. And her supernova be her calling back her fire and instead of an AoE it'd be consentrated into a Bigger Blacker Beam of Bragon

Lunastra is the only DLC monster who loses a turf war. She is defeated by, though deals damage to, Nergigante. Every other DLC either has no turf wars or will only stalemate at worst.
