Great video Kplays! Loved the Captain Levi reference haha, I love that move so much that I mastered it in World. There are only two ways you can execute it in World, either by using slope or through mid-air activation, both of which require near-perfect timing as well as detailed zone, monster knowledge. However once you get good at it, it's incredibly satisfying to pull off. That being said, I had always wished that they made it easier and flashier (preferably in a way that conveyed more AoT feeling)... So, this is truly a wish come true for me. You can imagine my excitement while watching this trailer for the first time. More hunters will be able to enjoy it as well since it's easier to pull off now, which is great! Apart from that, there are many great additions like the backward fade slash (2:39), and other similar moves that cover short distance that hit the monster while allowing you to reposition slightly. In World we have different moves for repositioning: dash and spinning blade attack, one consumes stamina and the other covers long distance. These changes will make the combat more fluid, natural looking and keep us closer to the monster while fighting. It will allow us to `dance` with the monster, so to say. In fact, that seems to be the theme here in Wilds with all the weapons; smaller reposition attacks that allow you to continuously fight with the monster in a more fluid, natural way with occasional counters/perfect dodges in between based on your skill. Compared to World's more rigid either commit to the attack or dodge away style combat on move-to-move basis.
@@baval5 after Capcom added Magick Archer to MH a few days ago, I wouldn't be surprised if people were expecting to see some Thief moves lol but yeah, it's got everything it needs

I'm wondering if the black on the congalala armor might be hinting at mixing 2 armors together, to allow for the two weapons needing different skills.
@KPlaysHere2 ай бұрын
@@baval5 ooh, that's a theory. I think this would be the 1st time we've ever seen any sort of set mixing as the face of a weapon in a showcase
@baval52 ай бұрын
@@KPlaysHere Im thinking less set mixing, since thats pretty clearly all Congalala armor from the pink fur linings, and more being able to attach different materials to armor like how you could swap the slap on parts in World for minor buffs. Say you make Congalala armor and it looks normal, but then you can swap the skin parts of it for a different monsters skin to get maybe some resistance and 1 of that monsters skills.

@@baval5 that would be a really cool way to do it! Could probably end up looking much better than bits on sticks weapons for sure

Cant wait to see full lobbies in Wilds. I wonder if they’ll introduce any new songs for HH.
@KPlaysHere2 ай бұрын
@@devv197 should be a lot easier to find groups now that we'll have cross play! I'm really hoping they keep the songs they added in Rise, and give us interesting buffs from the bubbles

okay okay conspiracy time. usually new gens introduce new weapons right? they skipped that in World since it was a return to form. They always add new weapons in pairs, and there is an exact 2-day gap until gamescom starts on wednesday (!!) I'm not getting my hopes up, but the timing seems a little suspiciously perfect. Hunting styles returning would be amazing, I doubt it though. I wouldn't mind switch skills or somesuch coming back out of all the rise mechanics. It seems like the most adaptable concept to the other games. I think they could do like a skill>mechanics thing too, like maybe max evasion gives you adept dodge, max offensive guard gives you adept guards, stuff like that, but until sunbreak skills were pretty much entirely passive, and A-team tends to pull back on B-team's iterations to refine them, who knows? can't wait to see peoples' gamescom gameplay
@baval52 ай бұрын
They definitely dont add new weapons in pairs. Gen 1 added Dual Blades. Gen 2 added Hunting Horn, Gunlance, Longsword, and Bow. Gen 3 added Switch Axe. Gen 4 added Insect Glaive and Charge Blade. Also apparently they already confirmed no new weapon

idk if there's another type of demon mode here that you can perform a swift dodge.

At last, we're here. Again, I have to say, the magic/energy traces and effects on all weapons look so much better than Worlds, like the trails here when the dual blades do the adept dodge
