Do you guys happen to know the year range of Mazda/Fords 2.5L engines from Fusions, Edges, etc which are compatible with the DISI 2.3L head (for a 2008 MS3)? I'm considering doing that swap since it appears my 2.3 lower end is dead (specifically; I've lost alot of compression on cyl 3 which is causing random misfires - still runs though). Are 2.5's better/stronger than 2.3's? They are cheaper for sure.

What did yall do for a head gasket? I have 1/2 inch headstuds in my setup and have asked the machine shop here to ream an oem headgasket to fit the 1/2 headstuds since oddball isnt doing orders anymore. Not sure if this is the best solution. Interested in your thoughts on this.
