WOW Dana, that was a BOG bass, I went out today, they weren’t hitting the jig today, but, I caught two on a 3/8 oz Black and Blue chatterbait, and lost two on the Red chatterbait, it was a good day, ENJOYED the vid 🎣

Thanks for sharing. I just started kayak lake fishing. I have been an inshore and surf guy for years. I was on the lake Saturday as well and only caught one large mouth using a jig. I never used a jig before and used it based on your videos. Thanks agian for sharing!

Man what a beautiful day to be in the water. Fishing slow with the jig was the ticket for some good ones. On my final outing of the year I started out with a fluke then switched over to a jig and craw bound and determined to get some based on your methods but the only thing I could get em on was my old confidence bait the Spinnerbait. Man that old dock dweller was huge ! Five plus but like you said he shoulda been an 8 pounder. Good stuff Dana.

Pond fish and big lake fish are a bit different, but they will still eat a fluke or a jig. If a spinnerbait is what they want, that's what I would throw at them.

I agree with you Dana! Jig bite starting to really get good. I was fishing mid-lake before dark this afternoon, and caught a LM chunk 5.8lbr around wood cover. 👍

Yes, that was a whistle pig. He was fooling around by the water and didn't seem to care that I was there. That bass should have weighed 8 pounds.

The jig cam through again. That largie looked like it was at least 24 inches long. Maybe it had some plastic or something in its stomach? 🤷‍♂️. Me and my son went to hartwell Saturday morning. We caught all our fish on a shaky head again. They wouldn’t touch anything else.

That largemouth had a massive head. I don’t think I’ve seen a bass that skinny out of Lanier. The jig is definitely providing bites right now. I was out on Lanier yesterday and caught 3 spots and 2 largemouths. I caught 2 on topwater and 3 on a worm. Hopefully the fishing will get better in the coming weeks!
