Hi Shayda, Love this idea. I have a Cricut but never thought to use watercolor with it. Just a little tip: Roll your mat after cutting. Then lay it upside down and pull the mat from the paper. Makes it easier to remove the paper without it curling. Have fun. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Thanks for this! ***Cricut tip*** To get things off your Cricut mat easily - bend the mat to release the paper/cutout. Your paper (or whatever you're cutting) won't curl! In other words, don't pull the paper, bend the mat to get things off
@vmiller7354 жыл бұрын
Take your left over leaves and place them on the front of the card and/or envelope to complete your theme. You can also import your writing and have Cricut write it for you or cut it out to place it on the card. I love my Cricut. I think you did a great job for a second project.

Glad that you got a Cricut, you are so talented. One thing you might try when you remove paper is to peel the mat from the paper by putting the mat face down and then curling it back while gently pulling on your paper towards the table. The paper should release easier from the mat. Your paper will also come off much flatter and it will make a difference for some designs you create in the future. Have loads of fun! PS: print & cut is also a lot of fun to do, especially since you have an iPad.

A very enjoyable tutorial however, I am having trouble cutting out the Monstera...they cut into tiny pieces which are not useable. What settings are you using? I've wasted so much paper trying this, where am I going wrong? I'm using medium coloured cardstock and one of Access Monstera Cut files. I've tried various cutting settings...cardstock Intricute cuts, Light Card, heavy card without success.
