this movie was shot on film! thats why the camera looks like that- digital cameras are far more common and cheaper to use for feature films like this especially now- but film cameras combined with particular character filled lenses give it that home movie, imperfect feel 💜 - from your friendly camera tech

out of curiosity, do you know the difference that using an anamorphic vs a spherical lens has on this soft, blurred look?
@TessBre Жыл бұрын
@@amylomo9793 it 100% always depends on the lenses you choose! some anamorphic lenses are more high contrast and some arent, if u go vintage glass it's going to look more vintage. BUT all anamorphics will effect the bokeh turning them more oval instead of circular, with film- i'd wager the bokeh would become softer and so would the rest of the image. if u want to see anamorphic lenses combined with film, i'd check out blade runner 1982 - it might answer your questions 😄

It may sound silly, but the scene where Katie Cassidy’s character washes the dishes while she’s all dressed up is one of my favorite scenes in film. The glitz and glamour is what she wanted, but isn’t at all what she needed. The quiet and introspective moments of this film really make it stand out among other teen movies like this.
