Yep that's the Wedge where the waves break right on the beach !!! Back in the 1970s when I was a surfer me and my buddy's would avoid that place, too many broken surfboards ! What ? Your parents never taught you how 2 swim !!! As soon as my sons could walk we threw them in the pool and took them to swim class in the summer ! Wow Pirate Mike almost got sucked out to sea on that one wave !!! Great hunt as usual, thanks for the fun hunt ! P.S. I think someone is cutting pennies & tossing them on the beach to mess with Detectorist's ??? G

That was a crazy hunt my friend. What a blast. We got stoked but we also got silver and gold. I honestly didn’t know you couldn’t swim. It was definitely a potential for danger. 🏴‍☠️🙂🏴‍☠️🙂🏴‍☠️🙂

They definitely are dangerous! Pirate Mike knows! We saw a couple rescues on this trip too, the rip currents are no joke! I might need my water wings on the next trip 😂🤣🤣

I'd be all in on that heavy surf action. When I was stationed in SoCal I spent all the time I could swimming and boogie boarding out in the surf. Wish I would have had a detector back then.

Yo MM, if a beach you have detected in the past was weak for targets ( as in hardly any or mostly trash ) does this mean in a few days it will still be the same or since their has been sand movement it could produce more and better targets ? Need some expert advice.

If it’s an ocean beach with a lot of wave action it will change constantly. But it could go either way. If you get big swells you could get targets pushed in or beach erosion that could expose deeper targets. Or it could get sanded in and all the targets will be too deep. Dry sand will likely remain the same unless you get fresh drops or wind erosion.
