This video, like the thrifting one, turned out to be helpful for seeing the possibilities in the items. Multi-purpose helps budgets.

I LOVE YOUR BOOK! I find it to be the most helpful Montessori book to implement Montessori method at my home. Thank you for all you do, Ashley! 🧡

I wanted to get my 4 year old a set of roads but they were too out of my price range so I went to my local Walmart and Dollar Tree to get some Hot Wheel Tracks. We already had wooden town pieces so we used those with the tracks to make a town. I also use the baskets and buckets at Dollar Tree to store the items on the shelf.

I love this series. I actually use the low shoe shelf for my baby’s Montessori shelf. And the front facing book shelves I found at the dollar spot a few months ago. I wish I had picked more than two.

We don't have Target in the UK but I still found it really helpful and it gave me a few ideas. Thanks.

Very helpful, I happen to pick up most of the items of the dollars store. Often they have plenty of Montessori friendly stuff. I like this new style of videos.

Man I wish we had Target in the UK. I see where all the cliches about it come from now. You couldn’t really get this range in the UK without visiting 2-3 different shops. The only thing that comes close is Wilkinsons.

Target is SO underrated for Montessori homes, I feel like! So much of what I need, I get there. Those Y weave baskets are for our out of rotation storage, the brightroom long baskets are for her utensils, all her plates and bowls are that line you showed...and so much of our practical life work is courtesy of Target and the (5) dollar spot! But it seems my Target is the only one that didn't have that sand tray 😫😫😫 I've been looking for it for a while and still can't find it 😭

Yes! There are soooooo many different ways to utilize some of these things if you get creative, it’s mind boggling! 🤯

The cheaper Target cubes are really low quality. I have two of them and they have screw heads that stick up with cheap plastic covers for them. My son quickly took the covers off and got hurt. They wiggle around a lot too. I would recommend the higher end ones.

Did you ever have the problem of your kids when they were you get playing in the dogs water or food dishes? If so, what did you do? Everyone says a gate, but that keeps the dog from the water ...we've put everything in a bathroom and shut the door when we're near, but it's so hard to find somewhere to put it when our house is so open concept...need ideas.

It was a lot of supervision and redirection 🤣 although we didn’t keep it in the main living area (it was in our laundry room), so it was out of sight-and therefore out of mind-about 75% of the time.

Could you compare how being a Montessori mom differs from when the girls were at home full time vs. now being in school?
@HapaFamily2 жыл бұрын
It isn’t much different, since Mia is only gone for 3 hours. So it really just means that I have a bit of extra time to do work, or relax if I choose. 🎉 I have removed the academic learning materials that are in their classrooms from our home environment- so it’s mostly just a focus on practical life, outdoor play, open ended materials, arts and crafts, puzzles, games, and anything that they can do to relax and unwind. With that said, I still have a good chunk of our academic/learning things in our storage closet, so if they ever happen to request something specific that they know used to be out on our shelves, then I can easily pull it back out. ☺️
