You young people are living the life I dreamed about, but was too scared to actually go for (and regret to this day). I’m glad you’re out here making the most of it! And it’s good you talk about the pitfalls of van life as well-it’s important info for anyone looking to do this lifestyle.

It's just a rehash of what young people did in the '60s and '70s That's where the original concept of van life started

Is it cheap? No, but if you take into consideration that it costs around the same as rent but not actually paying rent/you get to do whatever tf you want, sounds like a great idea ngl
@boundariessetinstone58938 ай бұрын
It’s way cheaper my rent, utilities is $2000 a month I could be putting up $1000 a month for retirement while on adventures. And if you live in a bad neighborhood like I do you can escape that. Cause to live in a nice area it would cost me between around $3000 a month in rent and utilities. I rather live in a nice vanhome and go to nicer areas then live in my apt in a bad area. Oh and you won’t have to deal with the loser ppl who play loud music day and night, slam doors day and night, scream through out building day and night. That is the low class stuff you will deal with when you live among a certain demo in poorer areas.

I really appreciate how honest this is. I feel like a lot of people try and make it seem like the “van life” is a cheaper option but it’s definitely not cheap. However, it’s a sacrifice worth taking if that’s your lifestyle which if you have the funds, I think is amazing!

those expenses could easily be cut in a half or even a 3rd but he clearly ate out a lot and moved from place to place. You can have the same lifestyle and cut cost by conserving in different areas….

It is cheap relative to rent . You still spend money on food, phone, car insurance and even gas while living in apartment. Also a studio. Is 1500-2000 anywhere on the coast in California so spending 300$ on for gas is a lot cheaper
@lif3l3ssgaming8 ай бұрын
thousand dollars isnt even my rent alone unfortunately and im in a small apartment one of the cheapest within 200 miles of me. so yeah vanlife is still cheap af and they are eating out and traveling...
