You know, Johnny, it gives me the feeling that Montreal almost reminds me of uptown Queens, New York.

Make more hotel reviews, that was unbiased and raw review which I find particularly excellent . Johnny, Could you please do a neighbourhood walk around Davisville Village and Leaside homes . I passed there yesterday in a taxi and I saw probably more aesthetically pleasing homes more than forest hill and I thought I would suggest it to Johnny Strides. I Hope you had an amazing time in Montreal ,Anyway have a wonderful day

You’ve likely been told already - MZ stands for mezzanine (floors just above ground that usually have meeting rooms) and SS means “Soussol” - basement.

So strange I live in Ottawa Montreal is 1hr 15 min away and the vibe is completely different than on Ottawa and Toronto. A lot of movies are filmed in Montreal friends live there and tell me when a movie is being shoot on their street they will get a notification in the mail because they film all hours of the night for different screens .

Very nice Hotel and room accomodations. I am surprised that when you showed the lavatory, I thought you would immediately check the placement of the bath tissue. After preaching too all of us the proper way, I immediately corrected mine. See how much power you have on all of us. Thank You.

Johnny, the review of Le St-Martin Hotel Particulier was great! Now that you know, maybe you will do more hotel reviews! The room looks clean and it has everything I would want in a hotel room. I would have asked for help with the TV and anything else as it's all part of the cost of the hotel room. Next time I'm in Montreal I will check it out as it looks like a wonderful hotel! So glad your trip went will!👍

I enjoy hotel tours, whether your review is good or bad. $425 for 3 nights is very reasonable for a nice downtown Montreal hotel. Some KZbinrs get sponsorships so they can stay in hotel at a discount or free. But their reviews might be constrained or biased. Since your review is generally positive, I might stay in the Le St. Martin next time I visit Montreal. Plus I want to try fixing my "isolator trouble". :)

What's going on Johnny? In my country, Spain, the instructions and indications come in at least 4 languages, Spanish, obviously, English, French and German, in the bilingual areas also in the co-official language, as for the carpets on the ground, the firefighters are increasingly strict, they are prohibited or discouraged, the rooms have air conditioning since the climate is very warm in summer , on television there are usually available, in addition to spanish channels satellite dish.
@masterseems8005
@masterseems8005 3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what your point is, but Canada has TWO official languages (English & French) & in tourist areas, both are spoken & prominently shown on signs Also, many staff in these hotels are able to speak many different languages because of where they immigrated from. All hotel rooms have air conditioning & heating controls as part of the temperature control panels in each room. Spanish is not widely spoken in Canada at all. You must be confusing us with the USA where it is spoken in many places there.

Nice review Johnny. It was nice seeing what Montreal hotels have to offer since I never stayed in the hotels here for the obvious reasons. It looks no different from other international hotels. Just basic amenities, but really good price for downtown location. Some hotels on Sherbrooke street would charge you that for one single night. If you plan to stay longer next time, you could rent a studio as a short term rental.

Hey jhonny, I like how you can't even read a word in French properly although French is the second major language in Canada, I'm a polyglot who can speak both English and French but I never felt the need to use French since English is the dominant one. Good on you jhon.

The Taj Mahal Trump hotel in Atlantic city was a good deal which included buffet dinner and buffet breakfast for $200 US for a weekend (Fri, Sat night). I left Sunday at 11 am. So far that was the best hotel deal I had and two years after, the Hotel and Casino closed down and was demolished. The room I had was much more luxurious that the Hotel St. Martin in Montreal. I guess you really get good deals at Casino Hotels like in Las Vegas especially depending if you can find a good deal offered.

Overall a nice looking hotel in a great area. I do agree the lack of privacy in the washroom is very odd. Even couple's want to have privacy when they are "doing their business". For this reason that room is only good for one person. I didn't find the safe that odd. I have never seen a safe that you could store a laptop - just a safe for storing, Passports, money-belts, travelers checks, spare credit cards, watches, wallets. It looked like you could get a small tablet in that safe and of course your smart phone. The lack of housekeeping could be due to covid. I read hotels are using covid as an excuse to cut back on housekeeping. Also this is the reason why they are not stocking the mini-bar's but that is not a problem because they are just rip-offs. If you have a working fridge in the room you can buy your own beer and spirits and snacks to go with them. The "isolator trouble" module is for detecting fault's in the in-room fire alarm system.
