I'm a Dane and I grew up in one of these "parallel societies" (aka ghettos). Over the span of 20 years, I saw my childhood neighbourhood turned into that. They beat each other up at my sister's school, so my mom had to spend money on a private school in the centre of the city so I didn't have to go through the same. They burned down the Shawarma man's grill 3 times until he gave up his business. Then, they burned down all the surrounding shops, who, one by one, closed down. They burned down our trash stations. They smoked hash on the kindergarten playground. They smoked hash in groups in front of the door to our basement where I had to pass them to put my bike and do laundry (I was a female teenager, so not fun). Then, they started shooting at each other. Multiple times. Some guy died not many years ago. They were loud, so loud. One by one, our neighbours became immigrants, and they were so loud. They went around 'patrolling' the area in huge groups of men, making us feel so unsafe that eventually, we moved. I fully support our immigration rules.

Unfortunately, what people is dismissing with Muslim cultures are child abuses and neglect. Culture and indoctrination aside, those 3 reasons alone doesn't mix well with education and social behaviors. The problem is that no one is willing to acknowledge those problems and therefore don't have to meddle in those family matters. For countries that has a developed welfare would immediately remove a child in toxic environment, except from Muslim parents. They're scared of being labeled a racist and are scared of having to defend themselves from that label. Honestly, the welfare is not going to stop the children from being a Muslim, the child can practice their religion alone of their own free accord. The problem is that they should be able to escape the roof of their unstable parents. What needs to change for children's ability to learn and adapt is a stable and peaceful environment. Help those children gain independence, don't helping the parent economy. Which, only let the parent rule over their kid and tyrannies them further. This is why younger kids "craves" money. You need to understand that it's a very powerful and ancient philosophical stand for certain things, and against certain other things. And what has made Europe Europe are definitely among "those certain other things." So any meaningful extent of mass level integration takes about at least two generations of continuous, seriously handled, no-shit, cruelly intolerant hard work. Naturally it could have never been achieved by the standard European woke politicians' belly-dancing. Thus, a doomsday recipe for Europe. Get well soon, or rest in peace!

20 years ago I would never have thought that I would agree much to doing this. But we are a small population, just under 6 mill. And I know how hard my ancestors have been working to make our country like it is today. Everything got too confused being nice and embracing other cultures. A simple example: pork has always been an ingredience in much traditional Danish cooking. All of a sudden all daycares and kindergardens had to think differently providing meals for kids. A vegetarian alternative is ok, but now people started to avoid more and more pork dishes, so that foreign cultures shouldn't feel left out. It must be the other way around. I myself have lived in other countries with the attitude of the old saying: "Skik følge eller land fly" meaning like "when in Rome, do as the Romans do". In the Danish equivalent saying "Follow custom or leave the country". Don't go here and then make us change. If anyone would like the same kind of country like we have, anyone is welcome to adapt ideas to their meassures and fight for it in their own countries. But don't change MY home and heritage when you arrive here.

I am a native Dane, though I am of full Chinese descent. I attended three different primary schools in Copenhagen, where my classes and the surrounding areas were predominantly filled with Muslim students. While they did not pose a direct threat, they were certainly asserting their presence and establishing their identity. Most of the threatening behavior I experienced and the unsafe areas I encountered were not due to ethnic Danes or Westerners. However, this is not to say that Westerners are perfect-far from it. I have worked in both the public and governmental sectors, as well as in the private sector, and I've also experienced periods of unemployment, relying heavily on unemployment benefits during those times. Even as a Dane who is relatively well-off, I can attest that the labor market is particularly challenging for non-Danish speakers and those who are undereducated. Denmark is a country with high living standards, and only those who can adapt to these standards can truly thrive. When the cultural gap is too wide, polarization occurs, leading to an "us versus them" mentality. From my perspective, especially those from the Middle East, who come from cultures with very different values, face significant challenges in integrating. They are not authentically Danish, nor do they fully resonate with Western philosophy. This disconnect makes it harder for them to meet Denmark's high standards, leading some to revert to alternative survival strategies. The goal should be to make people, especially the younger generation, more knowledgeable through education while also fostering human awareness and strengthening individual understanding of life, people, and the systems that shape our world. Good humans make a good world, regardless of their cultural or belief systems.
@Ulve1242 ай бұрын
in my opinion it's not that they face challenges in integrating, it's that they simply refuse to. Living in ghettos and not speaking the language after living here for so many years is inexcusable. Immigrants aggregating in enclaves/ghettos are a problem is in every country though. I have a Vietnamese friend who doesn't speak Danish and very limited English. He works at a pig farm near my place and he's used me to learn a lot of things about Denmark, he came here last year on an internship and then got a job after that. He makes more than the yearly average income doing that and he's making Danish friends despite having a hard time communicating even on English. I was unemployed for a year and he got a job much faster than I did with his farming experience. So the issue isn't that the labor market is challenging for non-danish speakers or uneducated people. It's immigrants living in the wrong areas and refusing to work.
@RedWildCatz92 ай бұрын

As an 2nd gen iranian in sweden it isnt even that hard to integrate and be apart of swedens culture and everything like that. The issue really lies in the unwillingness to respect the country these ghettos move to. While i do believe a part of it has to do with a lot of immigrants only finding homes in poorer areas making it harder to integrate since there arent many sweds to guide them, leading to a feedback loop, it also has to do with a lot of immigrants behaving as if its their own country and that sweds only keep everything to themselves when in reality they dont put in the effort or respect to get their slice of the pie. I hope i got my point across. If not my main point is that a part of the issue is segregation but the primary issue is the lack of respect immigrants may have to our countries
@justjordiano2 ай бұрын
I really see zero issue with the “ghetto” policy. When something is framed as “controversial” it’s important to ask - controversial to who? This isn’t really a critique of only your videos as I get the impression you want to be neutral about things on this channel but it’s worth considering. A policy that says go to school and learn the language so you integrate better and fostering diversity so groups mix seems good for the long term - look at Singapore who did something similar when they developed their public housing/neighbourhoods. Of course there’s the stick of losing benefits if you don’t do it but there always has to be incentives. Particularly given the stats presented before this segment which I’m glad you shared as I knew them before watching it makes even more sense to implement a policy like this so future generations of Danes of an immigrant background have better life prospects. No idea how that’s racist or a bad thing. Less crime, more community cohesion and higher wages for immigrant Danes - win/win for all.

That's the whole point of the welfare state. It is explained in the video. There are many groups in society with net negative financial contributions and they are balanced out by the groups who make net contributions. In this way, wealth is redistributed from those with a surplus of opportunity to those with a deficit. Frankly, its surprising that MENAPT-origin migrants have as mild a net negative contribution as they do, considering how often they experience acute economic disadvantage in their host countries

They knew they had no chance and being of Aryan ancestory probably realised they would be treated (relatively) well by the Nazis, so surrendered after approximately 4 hours and half hours. Despite this there was a pretty strong resistance movement against the occupation throughout the war, the movie Flammen & Citronen depicts this I highly reccomend it if you are interested in Denmark and Danish history.

Polish guy here. Since the start of the war in 2022 nearly 2 milions of Ukrainians arrived to our country. Some of them stayed, some of them moved further. Everywhere in the streets you can hear ukrainian language. And you know why? Nothing. That's because we have quite similiar cultural values and standards. Most of them are hard working people who want to improve their economical situation or really had to escape the war. There are no ukrainian ghettos, gangs conflict etc. Our socities is slowly integranting, living together and it somehow makes out. The same thing is when it comes to the asian people (I mean southeast asia). They are friendly, hard working, integrating, intelligent people who are respected in our country. Sad to say, muslim imigrants are not like them. They respect only their values, law and culture. Their religion is superior to any other. They don't accept our culture and habits. They don't want to integrate and they never will. The words i am saying are not the words of hate or racism. I am trying to stand in front of the facts that are difficult to accept. From my perspective as a citizen i don't care if you're white, black, green or purple. If you're a person who want to work, integrate, develop our country that's okay, you're welcome. If you want to collect unempleyment benefit without even thinking of going to work later on, without thinking of integration, country developing and in the end you're calling the hosts racists, facist and unhospitable, then you're unwelcome in our country. That's so simple. Europe blurred the definition borders between racism and not respecting the host law and culture. This situation shows imo that not every culture can peacefully live together. Greetings to Danish and all european nations. We should be strong together in this hard time ;)

I'm a dane, and I have seen both good and bad side with the immigration. Where I was raised, it was mostly people from middle East countries who did the assaults and other crimes, didn't showed respect for girls/woman without a scarf. Back in the nineties when mentioned it, it always called racisme, even I have muslim friends. But there is a huge problem, that the narrator in the video don't tell. These strict rules, also hurt native Danish. If a Danish person has worked more than a year abroad, and if he/she comes back, and if they can't find a job, they will receive the lowest benefit, the same as they give refugees. That's unfair after my opinion. If a Danish person, finds love outside Europe. It could be an American, Thai, Vietnamese or Australian or another foreigner, unless they have a very high degree, it's very difficult to get a permit. That's is so unfair, because we have had mass immigration, from countries that has imported a different midleage culture, that think woman are secondary, and use violence as a tool. Then I a native dane, if I find a woman outside Europe, then she is put in the same category, as immigrants from countries that have a midleage mindset compared to many Western and Asian countries. We have to call spade for a spade, and not strict the rules for everyone, just because we have to follow international conventions. Most of the gang violence in Denmark is done by children of immigrants. Some people bring their violent culture with them, no matter where they ho

@octocube36072 ай бұрын
The idea of a violent culture is misleading. The disproportionally high crime rates of Muslim immigrants is a result of their poverty. That being said, a Danish person living under the poverty line, in the so called ghettos, and being discriminated against, would also have a higher chance of committing crimes and violence. This is true specially as said in the video if they are young men, which most migrants are. There is a really great paper published by the French government which researches these issues, showing data to back them up (I was going to put the link to it here but apparently KZbin doesn’t allow that and keeps deleting my comment. You can find it in the CEPII site in the letters section, it is the letter 436 and it is from 2023. I was going to put an English version in here too, but ig I can’t, you will have to translate it yourself, thanks youtube ❤️) That being said, the main problem is not ethnicity, but poverty. However we also can’t ignore many aspects of the Muslim religion which are incompatible with western ideology and thinking. I think the idea of sending children to spend more time in daycares is a great way to better assimilate them and reduce the negative effects of their religion on their thinking.

@Ghostyfreaks Thanks for sharing. People think it's so good the rules are getting strict, but just your experience, that you are being put in the immigration box, and only eligible to receive that assistance, is absurd. I hope everything is fine for you now🙏

@octocube3607 Thanks for your comments. The paper published in French, does it state, that the main issue of crime is because of poverty, and not ethnicity? As a Swede I should tell anyone reading this that Sweden had a huge amount of low-educated refugees and asylum seekers coming into the country in a short period of time at a level no other western country has experienced. This created huge integration issues, since that alone requires a huge amount of resources for integration, such as learning the language, getting an education etc.... Because of Sweden's housing politics, most of these refugees ended up in the same type of suburban neighbourhoods all over the country. This further created issues of segregation from the rest of society and the formation of criminal gangs in these areas. All of these issues could have been predicted by simple math. BUT this is not to say that all immigration is bad. If your country receives highly educated people or even low-educated people who fill jobs no one wants, that's not as bad as often portrayed (such as in America). The issues of Sweden are almost country specific and can't be applied to countries with a different type of immigrants arriving (like highly educated Switzerland immigration). So not all immigration is bad, it depends on what type of immigration you have and if you have refugees arriving, the volume matters a lot.

@Lisdodde2 ай бұрын
I’m pretty sure that immigration is heavily correlated with job opportunities (that is: economic migrants, not refugees) and the jobs that are attracting immigrants are really low payed ones that the locals wouldn’t do because it’s hardly enough to live on. And then the wages become even lower in comparison to the natives’ jobs, and when you stop immigration like they tried in Britain with Brexit you end up with nobody to do the cleaning and the hospitality sector etc. It’s all really complicated and troubling of course, with cultural and religious differences, social norms, lack of integration and poverty. And crime rates that are intertwined with all that and enhance prejudice in a downward spiral. But I think the comparison of how much immigrants contribute to the economy/society based on just the amount of money they make is unfair. Lower paid jobs doesn’t automatically mean works less hard or does less important jobs. Fun fact: when the people who look at and worry about falling birthrates checked the statistics, it was mainly the teenage pregnancies that were going down fast. Nobody ever stimulated teen pregnancy on purpose, it’s often judged as bad, but now that they’re all online instead of getting pregnant the baby boomers won’t have anyone to pay taxes to pay for their old age… By which I mean that these things are always really complex and pretending they are simple and going for ‘simple’ solutions often increases the troubles ahead…

brilliant video. i'm living/working in Denmark as skilled worker and before watching this i was blaming the system for not having enough people in it but when you think about the economy of the situation with respects to the points of this video, it makes sense why so many doctors and other essential skill workers are tempting to leave the country and system is keep pushing itself to be halted. getting appointments in healthcare system for both physical and mental is keep getting worst and wait list gets longer simply because there are to many people and it will take at least 20 years until new generation which BTW soon to be migrant majority return the favor and contribute to society. learning language is one issue but here everybody speaks English more fluent than English countries and learning English is way easier and if anyone really wants to work and contribute, they can spend some time and grind their way through work and become successful with so much incentives that are at their disposal including nice and some what free environments to grow and build up essential skills. honestly if put the culture and all of the bad things that comes with migration after injection to the social pool aside, Denmark can really use the large volume of educated and ready to work migrants, but the question is how open and accepting people are to respect one another and try to look at it from the point of the country they are making allegiance to it. some of the common issues that are getting worst and worst because of this useless new infection into population can be mentioned about rise of housing prices and reduction in availability of housing, putting more strain on public services like transportation and the cost of repair, reduction of moral among youth, increase the rate of addiction and alcoholism, having more tendencies to move capital offshore and therefore reducing the capital in circulation for personal gains and therefore less opportunities for investment and job creation. it's truly saddens me that Denmark has changed so much since 5 years ago that i moved in and the velocity of the down spiral that i witness even if we put the pandemic impacts aside. i hope policy makers don't take too harsh or too soft actions and make a decision that both be beneficial and humane otherwise it would only leads to chaos, destruction, anger and less moral among people and it will turn into a rich and beautiful cesspool full of scammers, violent and homeless people just like how it is in certain part of the western world.
