Re: the light check: I actually put the light inside the body, dry fit the top to the sides and install the go bars and then turn off the lights in the room. If there are no “light leaks” I know I have 100% contact between the plates and the rims.

Hey Monty, Nice job as usual. I have just watched and re-watched the past several videos, but I haven't found where you discuss your bracing pattern. The bracing across the lower bout is interesting. Just curious. BTW. You should be wearing eye protection in case one of those rods cuts loose. :-)

They are usually just a couple of cauls wedged in place by a turnbuckle. They can be removed by reaching inside the sound hole and loosening the turnbuckle. The individual pieces can then fit through the sound hole. The hard part is reaching inside to get them out.

Do you have any kind of measurement, to make sure, the hole of the lid is in the middle so if you put some strings on, it doesn’t look strange, because it’s not symmetric?

Well, that has to do with the size of the hole, the width of the neck, the placement of the strings over the nut and the location and spacing of the bridge. That all comes together properly and it works just fine...if not...we start a new guitar. lol
