This feels like the beginning of a new chapter for Monuments, the band seems revitalized, they have great chemistry with Andy, the music feels fresh, they're a whole different beast now, but the band's essence it's still there, and oh man! This is the best they have sounded to date (production-wise) the mixing is pretty solid on this one, congrats!

I think the mix sounds pretty damp on this one, especially the drums lack a sort of punch imo, but fcking excellent song writing-wise :)

no andrew was not. HE WAS GAGET SPIDER MAN!. toby actually got bit by radioactive spider (you know... like the comics when spider man originated) thus altering his dna . andrew got bit by some techy robot spider thing. like WHAT?! that's not how it works. and as the franchise went on it just got worse. in the ps4 game he doesn't even have powers. "the suit gives him powers" like excuse ME?! LAZY WRITING@@MarceloZ2
@MarceloZ211 ай бұрын
@@hughneutron5303 Tobey wasn’t bit by a radioactive spider, he was bit by one of 20 genetically modified species of spiders that were living in a lab his school went on a trip, and the spider didn’t give him powers through irradiation via the venom in his bloodstream like in the comics, it gave him powers by the venom clinging to his DNA and splicing in spider genes onto his DNA. That’s also very different to how Spider Man got his powers in the comics. And who said anything about PS4 Spidey? I don’t even played the game.

This band just keeps evolving. And with each new evolution they still manage to capture and bring that sound that is unmistakably Monuments. Andy's unique vocal melodies balance perfectly with the racing, nonstop punching blend of drum and guitar on this track. Not to mention his sharp highs that cut across the heaviest sections in varied, intermittent flurries--showcasing incredible vocal command, and saving these sections from the monotony many less skilled vocalists suffer from. Andy fills out the large shoes left behind by Chris nicely. This album is going to be another must buy.
