I spent an hour examining this album art and I began to notice something: the art almost represents a clock with each individual subject telling its story clockwise the hands drawing it representing clock hands. I also noticed that each subject depicted on the art almost represents each song in the album. At the 12 o'clock position we see a guy creating a shockwave, perhaps maybe destroying something (could have a double meaning with I' the Creator and I' the Destroyer). At the 1 and 2 o'clock positions we see a guy running away. Perhaps escaping (hence Origin of Escape) and it goes on around. And considering the album alludes to the Samara Cycle of Life so that Chris wrote the story in the lyrics. So this could either be telling a story of one man's journey to maybe achieve enlightenment? The album is named The Amanuensis. An amanuensis is a literary and artist assistant, in particular takes dictation or copies manuscripts. This could mean the story is written by omniscient narrator who may be coping down the story from something? Perhaps we simply don't know but these are things I noticed about the album art.
@Z-A-C3 жыл бұрын
I like to look at it as if it’s depiction a cycle of creation and destruction, in the sense that in order for a new beginning to be created, the old must be destroyed. The creator is god, and the destroyer is the devil, and they could both be one in the same. A lot of the songs on the album have lyrics that have a sense of a god complex to them which I find to be really interesting.

This is hands-down one of the best metal songs ever written, in my books at least. The grooves, the riffs, the insane drum-work, highly dynamic vocals, all the boxes are checked. Excited to see where the band goes with Andy at the helm!

@@IgneelS11 Chris' vocals are insane for sure, such a nice pleasing tone in both cleans and screams.
