It's up there but man is this almost perfection. Really the only thing that would make this better is a stream full of brookies to fish from every morning going right past the cabin...This is legit so gorgeous. Much nicer cabin than I would ever expect. Amish built makes sense. Not far from where I live in Manchester these days there are Amish builders and it's really amazing woodwork and carpentry. And that sun room part is smart to have in bear country. Even though they're black bears and not typically killers you don't want to have one with little ones right outside the door and walk out into them, or have one that's injured or sick and needs some easy food or one that has rabies or opportunistic. And also if you startle some they have attacked from fear. So having that area to see outside before you really go outside is quite a nice addition. I'd actually put up cameras, myself. And other than normal reasons it would be to capture the amazing nature up there in the Houlton area. It has state park level of wildlife there.

Hate to say it but that tired door at 9:22 is squeaky because he put that overbuilt Z brace in backwards. As in the Z should be backwards. The diagonal ought to go from the unsupported top corner to the hinged bottom corner like "\" instead of "/", making that door both designed to fail and built to last... Maybe he wanted a door that would last forever yet loudly alert him when it opened? Actually not the worst idea if so.
