Bought your presets yesterday... helps me so much to understand this great beast of a synth.... great work btw! (it would be crazy amazing to have the scale/main key written down on the presets.. but I guess it's not really possible... ) it would help a lot to combine it with other elements in a session... and without that deep experience of practical music theory...

This is great, but how do you record exactly the position of the rhythm knobs? I have a really hard time telling which division of 16 they're actually set to, since the divisions don't match the graphics.
@AntonAnru10 ай бұрын
Yes, it's difficult to depict and recreate 100% same result, as the knobs are very sensitive. You can be close to the sequence in the demo. No crime if you get a bit different rhythm or notes. It's more about a timbre

Only thing is all the patch examples are heavy with a separate drum sequencer and other additional synth sounds. So it’s deceiving to know really what you are hearing and getting with the Subharmonicon
@AntonAnru Жыл бұрын
the aim is not to deceive, but to show the sounds into a musical context. Subharmonicon has a distinctive sound and it's very easy to distinguish it from drums and other sounds, you can clearly hear what is Subharmonicon, and what is not
@andrewnancarrow Жыл бұрын
Honestly I like what you are doing, however I’d rather hear the patches isolated before I decide to buy. There’s a lot going on, and yes I realize the Subharmonicon is generally discernible however with effects and other sounds it is often hard to distinguish exactly. It can be percussive so sometimes hard to know what is making some of the sounds. I’m being honest with you and trying to be constructive and let you know my genuine thoughts. I am considering buying these patch notes, but really would prefer to hear things more isolated from other sounds and effects.
@andrewnancarrow Жыл бұрын
For instance, “Happy with Clave” there is a percussive clicky sound as well. I can tell if that’s part of the subharmonicon. So you telling me it’s “easy to tell it apart” is in a way gaslighting me. No I can’t easily tell it apart. So just so you know when you respond in that somewhat patronizing tone it definitely turns me away from wanting to support you with my purchase. Something you might want to consider when interacting with potential customers.

Thank you for the feedback. I didn't mean any offensive tone, it's neutral to my taste. No aggression, no negative. Sorry if that looked like this. I gave a constructive response without any emotions

Hey Anton...thanks for your tutorial Vids, they really helped me...but I got a problem with my SH. When I play it via Midi-Keyboard, the sequencer does not work correctly. Although the polyrhythms are triggered the pitches of the sequencer don't work. It only works when i activate the suboszillators. When OSC1 or OSC2 is pressed the sequencers pitch isn't working....next problem is...when i release a note on my Midi-Keyboard, the SH jumps back to the C4. Is there a way to avoid this problem?
@AntonAnru3 жыл бұрын
Hello, thank you for the feedback. Is everything you've described with play button on or off?
@prestoernesto22803 жыл бұрын
@@AntonAnru Its only when the play button is on
@AntonAnru3 жыл бұрын
Then this is a normal behaviour. When play is on, Subh takes pitch from its sequencer. Yes, you may use a keyboard to send a note, but the sequencer is in prior. If you want to play notes in a regular way with a keyboard, you should turn play off

the patches are nothing to scoff at, but the video title is misleading to say the least. People unfamiliar with the basic function of the subharmonicon will more than likely think it's got a drum machine built into it. (proceeds to look for better drum sample alternatives to incorporate into current modular build 😅)
@AntonAnru11 ай бұрын
I never met a person, who thought that subharmonicon could produce drums. it should be a person who is so far from synthesis. if he/she is, this question will be solved after a basic review/walkthrough video
@seansnyder774411 ай бұрын
@@AntonAnru I've probably just read through too many reddit threads/youtube comments that are essentially asking people to Matrix download the learning experience into their minds for them :P Again, great use of the SH, and many thanks for posting your experience with it. I find it just as easy to get discouraged with it, as is it is to be influenced by it. An external lfo or S/H source has been quite beneficial, delay/reverb never fails as well.
@AntonAnru11 ай бұрын
I think ext lfo or s/h is illegal in this case. I must show the internal features only
