@@MollyHJohnsThe movie is crap, but I've never quite understood the hate for this line. That could very well be the first time THOSE characters have seen them jetpack. @@thedreamscripter4002 I'd love to see a one take scene, possibly also used in the trailer for season 2 (assuming we get season 2), where we get to see the entire fight between Jake Lockley and how he defeats Harrow and his men. The scene starts with Jake Lockley escaping from Harrow (while unmasked) and knocking Harrow to the ground as he gets to his feet. He turns to look at at Layla, as the hood manifests itself over Jake's head (we only get to see it from behind). The camera is now positioned over Moon Knight's shoulder, and we see him throw deadly projectiles from his cape at the men covering Layla, killing them instantly. The camera then moves towards Layla who manages to free herself, and turns to look at Moon Knight who is now beating up Harrow (similar to him beating up the Jackal in the first episode and trailer). He stops, and slowly turns around to reveal Jake Lockley's suit as the comic book black and white suit.

@@Ambar42 Ah. Well to that I still say, sadly people do. Cinemasins is the example I have off the top of my head. In the Moana video he mocks the drum in the movie because “that barely looks like a drum.” Apparently assuming all of history has only had one kind of drum. So I also appreciate Ryan for apparently doing even some research into the religion, since a lot of it is less confusing with context, like the reed field and animal gods. I was expecting a joke when he said “They bring Herro in’ and the response be something like “they bring heroine?!” or “Oh, like breaking bad?” or “bringing heroine is tight!” then the writer says something “What!? Sir! No!” Maybe it’s too 18+ ha. Still a great episode! Love everything you got going on Ryan! Your skits are top tier!

But the asylums seem to be located in a dreamscape between life and death. Those employees are illusions, just like it was for Mark/Steven when he was close to death. If they did that it would’ve made that moment better. It was a little weird how the multiple personality thing was the dealbreaker for gods who inhabit human bodies and actively suppress their personalities. Now if Marc had insisted Harrow had some tattoo that proved it, had him show them, and then it wasn’t there even if the gods checked for deception…

I've always thought that the first time Jake "appears" is in the first episode, when he's in town fighting for the scarab. He blacks out and wakes up surrounded by bodies and covered in blood, a display that is far too violent for Marc. And the only times this happens, is the other two times that Jake is in control.
@HenryLoenwind

Yes, Jake is in the blackouts in the 1st episode, in the hotel room at the end of the 2nd, the blackouts in the 3rd, the one left with the doctor after Marc and Steven meet in the 5th, the blackout and mid-credit in the 6th.

It's there to make you go 'now wait a minute', and realize there might be a third personality.It happens at least once earlier in the show as well. I'll take an interesting cut instead of a CG-heavy badly choreographed fight scene any day of the week.
@Coldheart322
@Coldheart322 2 жыл бұрын
I feel people focus on the action scenes way more than the story/narrative. Yes, we skipped the final part of the fight... because we're only focused on Steve/Mark, not Jake. I'd expect any Jake reveal will likely have a new/altered costume as well, considering Steve/ Mark have their own versions. Showing that in season 1 leaves less to show in season 2.
@nootnoot7088

@@Coldheart322 I guess you make a good point. I suppose I was so excited to finally see Jake after him being teased for so long throughout the series, that I forgot the fact that this season is still mostly about Marc and Steven. I don't know if this is true, but I heard that the costume designer for Moon Knight said that if Jake were to have his own suit, it would be the black and white one from the comics.
