Nice new project. I would keep the batwing on the bike. Really beautiful design and add protection when riding. Since it is a british bike do the threads are imperial or metric? To paint the chromed parts black how would you do that?
@Moonfleet412 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, all Triumph threads are metric, I think the change over was between the old company in the 1970's into the new company in the 90's. And painting the chrome is the same as painting any metal, you scuff it up with abrasvies, then etch prime and paint... will be doing it shortly!

Good luck with em looking forward to the rest next upload 👍🏻👍🏻
@Moonfleet41Ай бұрын
One of the reasons for setting a sensible budget on the XJR (Back shortly after the Rocket interlude), was not only to keep the bike from ending up worth less than the sum of it's parts, but also to allow a little financial room for other interesting content at the same time.. ! Thank's for your kind support mate.. much appreciated.

Hi John, Yes we split the full detailing treatment in half.. this was the first part, just a thorough clean and polish up the chrome (and still a full day) the second part will be a full ACF treatment and Ceramic coat to finish the job. The exhaust renovation is next up in two parts, so you won't have to wait long.
