This song was playing when I was 4 years old. I had a older brother who played this music when he was dating in his teen years. I do know the song and can sing it. This when people really was in love and pulling together back in Harlem, NY. When Harlem, NY was a beautiful place to live. Those truly was the good, good old days. Every thing in Harlem, NY was right there at your fingertips. People showed love to each other.

You`re correct, since Bobby died in 1980.But this version of the Moonglows had that name ,to distinguish them from Harvey Fuqua`s Moonglows.

Thank you for posting this! For those asking, the lead singer is my grandfather, Gene Kelley. It's nice to see & hear him again. 😊 We all miss him all the time. He passed back in 2008 & I think the only other member alive today is the bass singer, Leonard, but I'm not sure.

@@jenniferserbedzija529 yes he was! He was in the Navy. I believe it was during the Vietnam war but he didn't talk about it.

Actually Gary Rodgers(Bobby Lester's cousin) is the bass.Billy McPhatter was in the group.Gary has sadly passed on-way too young.

This was when singing was singing, this group was one of the best, or the best during that time.Does anyone know who was singing lead in sincerely? Please let me know, love these songs from the past. Had older cousins who played the heck out these songs, therefore I grew up listening and loving this group . Thank you so much Schrooms for the post and the memories.

Alan Freed really started the Moonglows !!! This and Earth Angel(Penguins).. really made R&B !!! I was there from Day 1... Alan Freed, Dr, Jive, Jocko....OMG wonderful Days.
