I never really minded the part where Ravenpaw was a smug jerk. I always saw it as him putting on a show for Tigerclaw as a coping mechanism for his anxiety. "If I act tough, he'll be proud of me, he won't yell, and I'll just cry in my nest later tonight" sort of thing.

I always saw it as him having a different personality before Sunningrocks. He admired Tigerclaw, he wanted to be like him, he got sucked into the same toadiness that Longtail and Darkstripe did. But then what he saw at Sunningrocks, and the resulting threats, shattered his faith and turned him into a shaking mess. He was never bad, he was just under a spell, and seeing that broke it. After that, Tigerclaw completely changed towards him.

I'm four minutes in and will delete if I am proven wrong by you bringing this up later but there is one other place Redtail appears as an adult: in the very very end of Bluestar's Prophecy, which is also what confirmed Ravenpaw's personality pre-murder. He was a senior and wise deputy at that point in time which is frankly the only thing I know for sure about this guy.

I jumped out of pure shock, I was not expecting RedTail content out of Moonkitti today. I honestly feel t like they could have done a lot more with my baby boy. The biggest loss I feel warriors had was not making RedTail FireStar's spiritual guide. They could have completely taken out Spottedleaf's weird deal with FireStar and given my poor little baby boy more lines in. RedTail could have given a lot more help instead of just... being there, giving out prophecies and smelling good, he could have told FireStar a little more about TigerClaw and ThunderClan in general. Spottedleaf doesn't do much as a spiritual guide anyways, replacing her wouldn't change much and it would give a little bit more character to major- minor characters like RedTail. (I have now realized that this point is very flawed and would interfere with very important plot points) (what I meant was to just have RedTail as a more prevelant StarClan cat, have him as a real guy, since you can't really remove him.) Anywho my RedTail rant ends around here, if any of yall have any particular RedTail headcannons that you would like to launch out there, feel free to answer to this comment with it :3. Seeing as Fireheart didn't really know Redtail, I would be disappointed with this change. Regardless of how odd later Spottedleaf and Firestar interactions are, I would never stand for a largely irrelevant male character replacing the important role of a female character had I known it happened.

I'd love to see a mini talking video about Morningflower and Gorsepaw! I love how Fireheart carries him across the road and from then on he's like Gorsepaw's little hero, Morningflower tells her son about how he saved his life Firestar basically winks at him at Gatherings and they're all so friendly with each other that someone like Tigerstar notices, because he knows that killing Gorsepaw will get under Firestar's skin. Then Morningflower's ferocity when fighting BloodClan is essentially in her son's name it's very sad and made me feel a lot of emotions even as a young kid reading, so I'd love to hear you talk about them both in one video since neither of them have much of a character on their own and their significance to Firestar's story is undeniable

For exemple: -She was cannonized as a half-clan cat by the Blogclan(her father,a river clan cat,disseapeared in the middle of oots,if im not wrong) -she was one of the kits that was saved by jay,lion and the windclan apprentices. -She was the kit that told to windclan about the tunels(She literally stated a war between all the clans lol) -she was one of the cats to be in the quest in the fourth apprentice,whith all the cats there had a history whith half-clan relation ships. She was totally forgoted until bc where she was an ALLY to the impostor,besides being a half-clan cat (maybe she dont know about?). I think theres a lot of implications on her that are very interesting,mainly her relationships whith half-clan cats and mates. Anyway,good video,i love redtail.

19:34 there are actually quite a few male torties! some of them are just not described as torties (they're just described as black and red or some variation of that) described as torties: Fircone, Scraps, Robinwing (riverclan, he's also a diluted tortie i thunk) described as ginger-black: Dangling Leaf, Ripplestar, Patch Pelt, Snipe, Flickerkit, Patchkit pale ginger & gray: Patch (ravenpaw's farewell) there are also a bunch of toms that are black-brown, ginger-brown and gray-brown but im not sure which ones can be considered tortoiseshell since i dont know much about cat biology

Talking about acknowledgement of kin in Warrior Cats: re-reading Dark River was a trip since the three being related to Tigerstar's kin was both super focused on and also completely written off. Hollypaw spends forever worrying about one day fighting her newborn cousins in ShadowClan and also worries about her friendship with Willowpaw in RiverClan - absolutely no consideration of Mothwing, her relative in RiverClan. She spends days there and never once thinks about it. Lionpaw is training with Hawkfrost and Tigerstar and never once asks them about Brambleclaw or how Hawkfrost died - which Lionpaw spent a lot of time in the previous book wondering about. I wish they were a little more consistent. Just a little.

I would really like to see a video on Shrewtooth at some point in the future! I’m re-reading all the SkyClan books right now, and I always thought it was weird how he has such a prominent role in Skyclan’s Destiny, and he has such a fleshed-out personality and character arc compared to most other background characters (in my opinion), but then he just completely disappears from the books without any explanation! Before I read Hawkwing’s Journey, I assumed Darktail had killed him in that book and that’s why he’s not in A Vision of Shadows, but he’s never even mentioned there or anywhere else past SkyClan and the Stranger!

A VERY basic explanation: for a cat to be gray, it needs to have two pairs of the dilute gene and the black X chromosome thing (for Millie, both of her X chromosomes have to be black), since the dilution gene is recessive, it means both Millie and Graystripe can only pass down dilution and black genes, thus only having gray kits. And before someone ask me about Bumblestripe (since he's technically gray)? He's not gray, he's silver, aka he's basically white with black stripes, and for this to be possible he would have to have inherited a gene called Inhibitor from at least one of his parents... The problem is that said gene is dominant and cannot be carried... Soooooo yeah, if you want to have a silver kitten, the parent HAS to be silver. But anyway, their designs are fun

In regards of cat genes only the red gene is caried by the X-chromosom. Red is also a dominant gene, which is why you usually only have either 'red' or 'black' male cats. (There are other genes that can alternate the colours but that's not the point right now) There's also a BUNCH of videos creating genetically acurat warrior cats.

"Redtail's debt" more like Redtail's dead hahahahahahahahahahahahaha It's a weird retcon but I think I kind of see what they were going for with Ravenpaw being more bloodthirsty? It's like a parallel to Redtail's behavior earlier in the book - he admires Tigerclaw throughout his apprentice years, then he sees Ravenpaw doing the same thing & recognizes how dangerous that kind of blind admiration is. That said I don't remember if the book ever makes that parallel explicit and if it was intentional I think it probably needed a bit more time to develop. There's also an interesting (possibly unintentional) idea in how passive Redtail is - I could see it as something similar to Grey Wing & Clear Sky, where he overlooks a bunch of red flags because he doesn't want to rock the boat or have to face the fact that someone he admires just isn't a good person. I like the idea of a character who refuses to take action to stop somebody they know is dangerous until it's too late, but I'm not sure if it was intentional or just normal warrior cats protagonist writing. anyway 23:35 tag yourself i was a brown redtail truther

Okay, cat genetics are crazy. So yes there are only red and black, but they also have black mutations, chocolate and cinnamon, on top of that they have dilutes as well blue for black, cream for red, lilac for chocolate, and fawn for cinnamon. Then you also have pointed and dilute modifers which caramelizes blue, lilac, and fawn and makes cream apricot.

i'd like to see a mini talking about lizardstripe. she was basically forced to foster brokenstar as a kit even tho she didn't want to and i feel like the narrative unfairly blames her for brokenstar's crimes. i know she was a terrible and abusive to him but to me it just feels like the authors wanted a scapegoat and wanted to give brokenstar some lenience by blaming his evilness on a woman and not make it his own choice to be a horrible cat. and the narrative seems to really hate the idea of a she-cat not wanting to be a mother. again, i know she was a horrible abusive mother and i'm not trying to justify any of her actions, but her characterization really seems to show some of the author's biases and that's what i have a problem with. a talking video about her would go into some pretty deep topics and would probably spawn some discourse in the wider fandom so if you don't wanna talk about her for those reasons i understand but i still think she would be an interesting cat to talk about

When the Erins use the term "chimera", they are referring to the torties who have half-black or half-ginger face. These are not chimeras, but regular torties. However, the common misconception is that they and only they are chimeras, which the Erins are using. Moonpaw is not a real chimera.
