The “potential human remains” could be those of 12-year-old Keith Bennett - the only victim never to be found.

I was a child when the moors murders took place and still recall the horror and shock that they caused to the parents of those poor children . I sincerely hope that this is the final chapter and keith can be properly laid to rest after all these years . My thoughts on the sadistic couple who carried out these murders are not printable here or anywhere , suffice it to say i hope they burn in hell along with all the other child murderers.

The fact that neither of them would say where Keith was buried indicates neither of them was really sorry for what they did and they had not earned freedom or forgiveness.

What the guy said about this defeating Ian Brady is so true. Brady and others like him use the lack of a body as a torment to the family, Keith's mother suffered her entire life. Hopefully now Keith can be put to rest in the manner he deserves.

I never gave up hope! I even tried using lucid dreaming to find him, I so desperately hope it's him. Who else's skull could it be? please don't say 6th victim.

You would think there were more, how they got their kicks. The forensics will do their job age of skull bones found, clothing Keith had white leather zipper jacket on, even Brady couldn’t understand why the metal detectors hadn’t picked him up.

@@user-iz8dd1ql2k Hello, I think he knew the areas but never said. He meticulously planned his murders the sites before and visit them after to see they were undisturbed...even had picnics there. Down in Shiny Brook in the 80s search 3/4 mile in from the road, he said to DCI Topping look there’s the eagles head a rock and vegetation outcrop. Topping been there many times never noticed it before so he recognised places. Only what I’ve read.

@@user-iz8dd1ql2k your welcome.I added on another thread that my concern was it’s visible from the road. But now I see the lay-by would have been easy to get out of sight, and only visible much further down the road but such distance people would have been hard to see. Brady also said Hindley knows he’s down that slope. In Carole Ann Lee’s book, many said he’s near the others from police, families and local farmer. They were searching nearly 2 mile away. A lot of speculation but sure the forensics will give out information the next couple of days.

I hope it’s Keith after all this time. My only concern is it’s visible from the road and they took him on the Moor when it was light. But then 1964, there were way fewer cars. Brady did mention ‘ the slope ‘ many times so fitting and not far from where they found John. Fingers crossed this time for dear Alan’s sake.

I really hope it is little Keith, and in a way, this is the appropriate ending to the Moors murders, despite the heartache of his poor mother, Myra and Ian are both gone and the true ending of this story is...Keith was finally found and given back to his mother. Keith's memory will be the true ending of this tragedy, not the death of Ian.

Are there any 'remains'? Is there a skull or is this going to turn out to be another red herring? I really hope he is found but the fact that the police are saying that they have 'no identifiable remains' is worrying considering this Amateur investigator said he found a skull....so where is it?

Today’s date is Saturday 1st October 2022 where Keith Bennett is on Saddleworth moors for almost 60 years. If the bones belong to Keith Bennett the body must have rotten away. Keith Bennett was murdered in June 1964.
