Mopar A Body door striker repair and replacement

One very common failure point for Mopar A Bodies! The door strikers.
In Part 6 of our 1968 Dodge Dart Restoration we'll be going in search of a set of good used door striker pillar sections and then installing them in the Dart.
We'll also go over an inexpensive method or repair that is effective essentially utilizing the same style of plate system Ma Mopar used on the later A bodies.

You specifically mention A-bodies here. Do you know of any other Mopar platforms from the same era that may have a similar problem?

My experience has only been with Mopar A, C, F and M bodies. so I can't say for sure that it affects any other bodystyles
