Thanks.. yeah the carb is factory, just A little tired . It seems to work well but want to have a back up plan. Just bought truck and 14 times excited to turn wrecks on it. It is a old military truck nothing has been done to it so going to clean it up and give it a good life.

Hey, I want to say thank you very much for watching the video and thank you for your comment. Very interesting comment. I don't think I've ever seen a dual quad tunnel Ram on a slant 6. The closest thing you're ever going to see to that is the factory hyper pack but they were only available with a single four barrel. I think there's a company in Australia that's remaking those but honestly dual quads on a tunnel Ram wouldn't be that effective. You would probably make as much power with a single four barrel I know it sounds contradictive but the only time you really need dual quads is when you start. Needing lots and lots of air flow. That means you've got a cylinder head that is flowing a tremendous amount of Air and just want to say thank you so much and have yourself a great day and if there's questions you may have about your slant 6 or any other Mopar let me know

Hello I just bought a 72 dart slant six what would work for it. I was told the carburetor needs to be replaced it runs for a few seconds then shuts off.

Be sure to check your ignition timing before you replace the carburetor as far as replacing the carburetor most likely it's going to be a one barrel carburetor probably a Carter BBS or a Holley 1920

That's provided that someone hasn't replaced the carburetor and intake manifold for a two barrel carb and intake honestly to be sure I really need to see some pictures

I have a 1985 d100 225 six slant. Would a holley 1945 work for this?

Yes a Holly 1945 would work on your slant six as long as the intake on your slant 6 is a one barrel also something to pay attention to is your linkage for your choke and also for your throttle and kickdown linkage. If you have an automatic transmission, these all need to be hooked up and they need to work without binding or getting hung up. They need to work freely. Also, the carb should bolt right on to your intake again as long as it is a one barrel intake and thank you for watching the video and think of your comments

How does someone get main jets for carter single barrel. Solder n drill i guess?

Hey, first of all thank you very much for watching the video and thank you for your comment. As for how to someone get extra main jets You can go through your local junk yards and and awesome! Extra Carter one barrel carburetors there's several different varieties of these four barrel. Carburetors you can also check and see if the Carter carburetor uses the same jet with the same size as far as like where it screws into the body of the carburetor if it's the same size as like a four barrel then you can just order brand new ones straight from my Jegs or summit racing or speedway motors and as for that I will check that out myself and see if that works and I will let you know or I will make a video about it. No, unfortunately I have not made a video covering that particular subject. However, I will try to make a video very very soon, probably in the next week or two and get it uploaded about that subject because it is a constant problem. Basically I'm just going to go ahead and warn you that there's probably not going to be much out there as far as like kids are concerned or anything like that. You're probably going to have to like reuse some of your original bracketry and do some modifications be wary and warned of that, but I will try to make a video about that and help out folks like yourself who are switching from one barrel. Two barrel really the amount of barrels. It can play a role in how the linkage has to be set up, but really there's a lot of basics that whether you're going from one barrel to two barrel or four barrel or whatever.
