Darija Moroccan Language Challenge - Cost of Living North Africa - BEAUTIFUL SLOVENIAN Speaks Arabic

What does food cost while souk shopping in Aourir Morocco? We visit the souk to vlog the changes in seasonal vegetables as well as to watch the prices each week. We have a Darija and English spoken as we are exploring fruit and vegetables as well as learning our numbers in English, Darija, and Amazigh. Someone today predicted in ten years, this souk will no longer exist. This man we met today, Mostafa, said the developers will come in and this will all change. We are happy and grateful to be here to experience this slice of Moroccan life.
Today we felt very welcomed. I was nervous with the camera, as I usually let Andreja do the filming. Everyone was friendly and supportive. At this point we are regulars, and even at new vendors we are welcomed. It gives us a stress free environment to practice and exchange language skills.

A Souk is a traditional Arab market. Much like a farmers market in the United States. In addition to your fresh fruits and vegetables, you can find just about every thing you need at the souk.
We enjoy a Moroccan omelet and Moroccan tea as we take a rest from the souk.
Today we bought q tips, almonds, dates, cherimoyas, radishes, herbs, cherry tomatos, onions, pumpkin, peppers, zuchinni, and more!

There was a time that they banned plastic bags in Morocco but l see they have come back.Not so good as after they blow away and animals might eat them and become ill or die, and they get into the rivers and the sea,a catastrophe!

Also, quite impressed with your fast improving darija! Keep working on it and ask when you don’t know a specific word. Some people answer you back in French because they assume you are French since there are many French tourists and residents in Morocco. I would recommend you say ‘ bel arabiya’ meaning ‘ in Arabic’. This way, the merchant will switch to Arabic. Great videos!
