Thanks for the info Alex but my favourite airline is jet2 they never charge extras and their staff are amazing I always use their transfer service it's all part of the package I'll be in alcudia the first week of next month jet2 found me a great deal as usual top boys😂

Inside knowledge: airports pay a commission to staff & the company for upselling hand luggage. Hence some check more than others.

Don’t buy at Boots at an airport but what you can do is order from Boots online and select the Boots in the airport you’re flying from as your collection pick up point

Travelling for years and frequently with Ryanair Alex....never ever had a problem. If you follow the rules...and meet their regulations...away you go! Thats my experience.

We went through Palma airport on Saturday 5th at 9.30 am. It was a quick walk through. Then on to Sa Coma. No problems with luggage or transfers on Tui.

I know it’s not to Spain or your islands, but I use Ryanair regularly London Luton to Dublin and visa versa and never had any problems. Ryanair, Easy Jet and even Jet2 are low cost airlines and you get what you pay for, if you want to get national airline service pay national airline prices. People always want to pay cheapest prices but aren’t prepared to put up with a bit of hardship.

Been going to Mallorca for approx 7 years twice a year, always fly Ryanair.Flew with easyJet earlier this year, NEVER AGAIN.Ryan air for me every time.

Jml vac and go product, best travel product I've bought, USB pump and vacuum bags, easily get a weeks clothes in hand luggage! 👍

It's fun to see people in Off Duty on their mobiles checking off duty prices against those on the net, I normally do that and buy it cheaper back in the UK because so called Off Duty is so expensive. They get the Vat back on your purchases when they ask for your boarding pass number, you get none of that discount...

Some people may not like this comment ,I think it's time all airlines started checking Carrey on luggage size. I have seen small suite cases taken on to plains just so they don't have to pay the hold fees. That's all well and fine until you find one in the over head locker above your seat & you are asked to put your small bag under the seat not so good if you take a size 12 shoe with the cramped space for 3/4 hrs. That's a lot of waste in the Mallorca landfill if everyone buys their flip flops, t-shirts etc locally to avoid baggage costs and then throw them away before flying home

I guess management of Ryan Air have had a warning word with staff at Birmingham and that has been tightened up thanks to your putting it up for the world to see.. I suspect the commentator got lucky but i bet NOBODY else does now.

Noone's being checked in Birmingham. I don't think this video will have much to do with it if anyone does get checked. All airlines have targets.

Make sure to check further down the Ryanair baggage page as the checked baggage picture on the main page does'nt give dimensions for the checked (hold) 10 and 20kg baggage which could be misleading but it is restrcted in size to the following: "The maximum dimensions of a 20kg Check-in Bag are 80 x120cms x120cm".

They would not even let me in to mallorca and I had to row all the way back home dispite having a wet passport where I fell in so many times. Hey,28c, where is the snow. Hi Alex, you mentioned in the Vlog case no heavier than 30kilo, I thought I’d read somewhere in travel documents 23 or 25 kilos was the max weight. Maybe it’s on package holidays. 22nd is getting close now, whoop whoop ❤️🐸

That's only for pooled luggage at checkin on Ryanair (32kg)! I think jet2 is about 22kg max! Not long to go now (but double check with your airline before you pack!)

Its not the airlines doing this carry on rip off. Its their handling agents at the airports, who are getting a commission on every fine handed out. Spain is taking legal action against the agents in Spain doing this. In Lanzarote, the handling agents there wanted a €65 charge, for my £5 travel pillow. So I left it, bought a new one when I got home. Sounds like the handling agents at BRS need reporting.

A friend told me once they were coming back from Mallorca to UK in winter I had 2 carry on bags but was only allowed one. Before they got to the gate they put their rucksack on over their chest and zipped their coat up over it. They got on board no problem. I suppose no-one dares challenge you that you're not really that fat??
