Thanks for the idea. I built a simplified version out of scrap sheetwood, with an acrylic sheet top. I didn't bother with the height adjustment (using the one on the router base instead) and with the fence I added the pivot one end & use a clamp the other. I also cut in a gap for dust collection, as without it the mess was horrendous. My initial test was very succesful & this is a handy alternative to the big router table for small jobs. I'm going to use it for a few months to prove I need/use it & if I do, I'll come back to this video & build a proper one with all the bells & whistles :)

0:04 посмотрите как столешницу раскачивает! Довольно не жёсткая конструкция. При фрезеровки глубоких канавок, на длинных деталях паз может получиться косым. Чуть надавил на протягиваемую деталь посильней и столешницу перекосит. Но если вас такая точность устраивает... то пойдёт.

there's so much i love about the engineering and precise work here, including small details, like the fence clamp and many others but... i just don't have confidence that adjusting screw, which is far from the center of the cutter, will raise the table square, or that it will lock in place square and not wiggle out of square during use with that bolt on the side about a half a century ago i had a craftsman router with a gear adjustment on one side of the sleeve. to lock the router into the sleeve there was a bolt on the opposite side. the physics of the adjustment mechanism was like yours except the adjustment screw on the craftsman was much closer to the center of the cutter. problem was, the base was never square to the spindle and you couldnt make it square, because it moved out of square when you raised it and lowered it, and it again moved out of square when you tightened it in place, and it could move a little in and out of square during use your adjustment system would inspire more confidence if it included a smooth near-360 compression lock instead of that bolt on the side, because then no matter what happened with the table during adjustment, it is locking in square with friction of all sides so it's going to stay square during any operation
