More garden beds!? + Leaning into my tacky side

This week we put together Vego beds in the front of the garden and move the chicken fence as well as have a wonderful supper of tacos!

Aphids can just be blasted off with strong water from the hose. I just had to do the same today on my beans. Ohh I just saw the ladybug clip, thats really cool!

I too am wanting all my projects to be finished but have to remember to be grateful for whats completed. Rome wasn't built in a day lol I understand 😊 You're garden has been a time consumer and will be until all the canning jars are put away, I love that it's a family project. BTW, it seems the doggos are best buds

Also I saw on a video, grate ivory soap, 1/4 c maybe, add in a spray bottle, fill with water. You can spray on any plants grass, etc. Gets ride of all bugs. 🤷‍♀️No personal experience but sounds like it’s worth a try.

You need to cut yourself some slack Hun you've achieved an incredible amount in a year. Building a homestead into what you want it to be will probably always be a work in progress. Be proud of what you've done and embrace it 😊 you have a beautiful home 🏡

Rinse them off with water and your hands rubbing off all leaves. and put next to marigolds. Works like a charm!

use a citrus spray (I made my own with orange peels and water. Boiled the orange peels and then take the orange peels out and put the liquid in a spray bottle once it cooled). Citrus supposedly keeps aphids away

The beds look weird without any space between them (lined up on the fence), so I agree with your layout, or maybe try a gap between them if you go with his layout.

Vinegar did not work for me either but boiling water did. I poured boiling water on the hill three evenings in a row and that did the trick!

I’ve used boiling water before too! It does work great! It’s just too far of a walk for me to the garden haha I almost burned myself one day 😂

We had Smith’s come out and treat some of our fire ants when we moved to Greenwood because nothing else worked. That solved the problem temporarily but they just seem to pop up somewhere else in a matter of days.

Diodematious Earth will get rid of fire ants, bug be gone do it too!
