Basically, they developed a paperclip that could only be attached to any number of paper and slowly melt a special glue-like substance that coated it's​ surface onto these files, rendering useless whatever it was attached to. They even went so far as to infiltrate facilities as either file handlers or supply providers in order to replace real paperclips and actively disperse their devious little machination. Unfortunately, it all fell apart when they realized a stapler was used instead. And, like the Japanese troops that kept fighting the war for decades after it ended, these infiltrators never learned about the failure and kept working the same job for eternity.

Of course there is a real reason for achievements tomar, they make your progress in a game feel more substantial as they're tied to your account and accrue overtime. They can extend gameplay in a video game and make completion feel more meaningful when it's not just tied to save data but that it also adds to your long-time account

Since they were talking about it, I think part of what makes the Frieza saga so great is the fact it takes place on another planet. When the majority of people on Earth die in the Cell saga, and everyone dies and the planet gets destroyed in the Buu saga, you'll feel confident in assuming that's going to be undone. Namek on the other hand, as long as the main characters escaped, at the end of the saga the planet could have stayed destroyed and it'd have very little impact on everything else, so basically the only reason to bring the planet back and save its inhabitants is because that's the nicer thing to have happen. If a planet so far away that it will take, what, a week to get there in a super fast space ship gets destroyed, doesn't really change anything on this planet, so at that point in time they could have just as easily not wished for New Namek or saved the Namekians.

Roguelike games are pretty much the only games that actually utilize achievements, Risk of Rain, Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon, games where you get to try multiple runs, the achievements actually unlock new content. Those are literally the only games that *should* have achievements.

In this game you kill things, and then there are parts where you don't kill things, then you start killing things again and it ends. 10/10 "It has a little something for everyone!"

On the topic of achievements, at the very least some games give you something neat for getting all achievements. Such as getting platnium for bloodborne gives you a cool ps4 theme, ghost of tsushimas gives you an armor dye for the ghost armor and so on. It's not much but it's better than nothing.
