There is nothing more mysterious in this world than the gaps in our own history. These gaps do not necessarily make their way into our textbooks at school, but can always be found in mysterious ruins or artifacts that cannot be explained by archaeologists or scholars. Most of what we learn regarding ancient peoples comes entirely from the images and historical sources that were left behind...

Our species is speculated to be around 200,000 years old. I think there's probably a lot of fairly modern civilizations that have risen and fallen in that time period. Lots of wisdom lost forever. Even if those civilizations weren't anywhere near as advanced as our own today, they were still probably remarkable in their own right. Stone work, strife, art, war, and all that makes us human - must have been present through out the centuries. I'm thankful for archaeologists unearthing these mementos from eras we can't possibly imagine living in; and illuminating them.

Everybody wants to be in archeology until they realize you need financial support for any excavation. And the rich people usually don't want your finds to go to a museum. Actually there's a pole shift every 10,000 years or so. We know this because of geology proving there was a Great Flood throughout the Mediterranean. Google maps has shown that the Sahara Desert used to have rivers and lakes as well as abandoned towns and cities. If you check out Brian Forester's channel, he shows you the architectural proof of the precursor humans before the shift, and the stuff that was built after. Machu Pichu for example is night and day differences once you know where to look. Pyramids of Giza and Roman towns as well throughout the Mediterranean. It's clear that the ancients had some awesome technology before the event, and after 10,000 years of rot, erosion, and humans, all that's left are the stone structures that the so called experts believe were built by the societies living near them at the time of their discovery.

It can be seen even before then cause yeah there was flooding in those areas of the Mediterranean sea but at one point even before that there was plains mostly there with cities that disappeared under the sea once it came along...the same can be said about the possible city off the coast of Cuba(i think) which that area hasn't been above water again I think 100 k years(its been a while since I talked about it but I know its well above 10 to 20 k years). Or both off of India and Japan being about 10k or more since that land was above water so you can build a city on it, which if it flood 10k years ago or any of those other examples then you gotta think how long would it take to build a city that massive with monuments as big as pyramids...plus the time they lived in it all being added to the time frame it was last seen or been around.

Central American pyramids were built by layering. At the heart of each one is the remains of the original temple. Rulers would just add to the structure by building on top of the older ones. There are even tombs built into the core of some. South American pyramids are built similar to Djoser’s step pyramid, even down to the materials.

It is a great achievement. But you can, in fact, fit a piece of paper between some of the stones. SOME are so precision fitted that the paper gap thingy is true, but many aren't and I don't think perpetuating this myth is all that helpful. There is no mystery behind the Baalbek stones. They are part of a retaining wall, which has to be solid/heavy to do its job, built by the Romans who co-opted and expanded the temple complex. The Roman engineers built retaining walls like this all over their empire, including one in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount around the same time as the Baalbek expansion using large stones only a few tons lighter.

Oh please, there are literally stones on top of each other, I bet you also think Adams bridge is natural too huh? People like you are a bane to progress regarding work trying to prove Atlantis or at least an extremely old worldwide culture, if it was natural then where's all the debris? That's the same problem that people have who say yonaguni is just weathered rock, because hurr the stairs are too big, when that's just evidence giants built them, again there's no debris of rock at the bottom of yonaguni proofing they're made with intelligence 10 to 20k years ago during or before the last ice age when the water was lower, go read Graham Hancock and educate yourself
@Wolfe911
@Wolfe911 3 жыл бұрын
Coyote OnPeyote first, you make yourself look like an idiot here. Second, it's fact. Third, I said "most likely." Fourth, stop assuming as it just ruins any credibility. I always hoped Bimini Road was a break water, and though it is one stone, doesn't rules out that a civilization may have manipulated it, it just reduces it. As for Yonguni, it's still a huge debate, but I would like to think it's a lost civilization. Now Atlantis is a bit of a strange one, as it may never have existed. There is only one written reference to it, and the guy was known for his stories to teach lessons. If it is real, that would be awesome, but time will tell. Now do us all a favour and climb back into your corner with the crazy haired Italian sports commentator who now thinks he's an alien expert.
@JohnJ469
@JohnJ469 3 жыл бұрын
@@Wolfe911 I think the credence we give to Atlantis literally depends on the translation. We need to remember that Plato was recounting stories from Solon. Anyway, in one translation I read the scene was set by reminding students that the world at the time of Atlantis was different to today's world and that many of the islands the Greeks saw were really the tops of mountains that existed in that ancient time. As we entered the current interglacial sea levels worldwide rose some 150 metres and so the description in Plato is certainly correct, however nobody knew the sea levels had risen at the time of Plato. It's because of that that I give some credence to the idea that Atlantis is describing an early kingdom. The idea of the city being destroyed in a night and a day is also reasonable since Thucydides describes a similar event occurring during the Peloponnesian War. Anyway, just a thought.

It's funny that we think that aliens technologically advanced enough to travel through space and interested enough in Earth to visit also require pads to land on.

@edwhite7078 3 жыл бұрын
It's funny how you don't realize the first interstellar travellers may not have needed landing pads. But kind of in the same way there is such a thing as ports. They could have been constructed to facilitate easier access. Just saying though I don't believe any of the alien stuff. Just thinks yours and a few other commenters in this video seem to be throwing that out like it makes any sense
@SalmonColoredSalmon6267
@SalmonColoredSalmon6267 3 жыл бұрын
@@edwhite7078 I do realize that the first interstellar travelers may not have needed landing pads, that's what I was getting at. While I'm skeptical in regards to the use of these pyramids as landing pads, I think you could very well indeed be correct about the pyramids being used as ports. Looking at their sizes, I could see them used as storage, not necessarily for interstellar aliens but possibly for the builders of that time. I am curious, how do you imagine these "pyramid ports" would have been used?
@edwhite7078
@edwhite7078 3 жыл бұрын
@@SalmonColoredSalmon6267 I don't really at all. I am more of the opinion that they were just a semi advanced civilization that built some amazing piles of rocks. I don't think it was aliens at all. Really I only replied to your comment because I read a similar comment twice already and I couldn't take it anymore. I think we look at the pyramids like how crazy this is to be out in the middle of the desert. At the time of construction it wasn't a desert and there could have been legitimate civilizations there. Not saying they were building machines. Just that they could cut and stack sweet piles of stone.

The pyramids were made with simple mechanical science using woods stone and sand. There is a guy in Michigan that proved it he made a mini scale by himself moving a stone that was the size of one in stone henge. There is a video of it. The stone henge under Lake Michigan isn’t that strange before the ice age the Great Lakes didn’t exist. They have also found boundary walls under the Great Lakes.

Your commentary on Nan Madol contains factual errors. The majority of it is built from prismic basalt like at the devil's causeway in Ireland. It is found in several locations on the high island of Phonape in the Caroline Islands and naturally fractures into pieces several metres long. The building style is unique in the world. Nan Madol may have been the first true civilization in the Pacific (from an archaeological interpretation of that term). The legend of the movement of the large 50 tonne corner stones that are not prismatic is the priests who arrived on the island could make the stones levitate. There is no mention of 'dragons' in Phonapean culture. You could do a whole show on it. Am happy to assist.
