If you want a mid size BMW SUV and can live with an EV, go for the iX. BMW is offering $9,900 in lease cash plus $500 loyalty, with a super low money factor. I just leased an iX with 12% discount from the dealership, plus lease cash and loyalty. My lease is $690 a month.

@@supremeetnel7707 long story short, I went from dealer to dealer showing them what the last one offered and pinned them against each other. No bs, no back and forth, he came to me with the numbers after I put together a build. The G05 is extremely reliable. They still have their issues here and there like any other car. Their big issue that I have seen in the Forums is the transfer case needing replacement. Mine has not really had any issues and the one that came up were promptly taken care of at the dealership. The transfer case issues is more likely due to abuse and lack of maintenance. I see some of these folks in the forums treating their X5 like a sports car, which is ridiculous to me. As long as you are not treating it like a race car and staying on top the maintenance you will be fine. Maintenance will be on the higher side due to it being a BMW, but you also have to recognize that the brakes are huge (requiring more money), the tires are huge (requiring more money), among other things, but I have owned BWMs for decades and I do most of the maintenance or I pay someone I trust to do it.

I had a 740i with 105k (bought over 2 years ago with 67k miles) no issues whatsoever, got totaled with Hurricane Helene. Got a X7 40i with 73k miles due to having another kid and the 7 series was somewhat limited. Did not take any warranty and bought it AS IS, after doing an inspection myself, as I work on my own car and beside the electronic, these are fairly easy to work on, plenty of room in the engine bay and aftermarket parts are plentiful. Can even tune this motor up to 1000 hp. Or at least 500 hp while keeping the reliability and spending around $1200 to $2500.
