More VR30 Trans Swap Content!!! The G37 Sedan gets a new LOJ Billet Aluminum Flexplate (A must have)

Welcome back to my channel,
So I broke the OEM flexplate, who knew that an N/A G37 could do this, wild LOL. I replaced it with the LOJ Billet Aluminum one, so far so good, but only time will tell if it'll hold. Myg37 forum post #32 regarding another VQVHR37 owner who followed LOJ's instruction of torquing the flexplate bolts to 70 ft-lb and used blue loctite, but had them back out and it got destroyed. He bought another one and this time he did torqued them to 80 ft-lb instead with red loctite. I torqued mine down to 80 ft-lb as well, but decided to use blue loctite instead, not telling anyone what they should do the same thing, do your own researchand make your own decision on this one. I tried FI flex plate and LOJ with Arp bolts and red loctite torqued to 95ft-lbs still came loose. I ended up adding the OEM metal bolts plate and tack weld the bolts😅 Hope it will hold 🤞

Thats cool, i have the vr30 7AT in my 370z and also put in the LOJ plate. Did you ever tune/re-tune your car solely for the new transmission? Do you think there would be a benefit in that?

@@Mrgamer880 My old TCM had already been tuned by my Tuner (Admin Tuning), was tuned more aggressive and you can still feel that with the VR30 trans. I would say it's worth tuning for sure but it's not absolutely necessary.

Thanks man 🙏😀. I don't think I'll be supercharging the G anytime soon, if plans go the way I want in the next year or so, I'll be getting another car to replace the G. Now the Z is a for ever car so I'll definitely be boosting it sometime in the near future 😆.

So far no issues, gonna do an oil change soon and remove the inspection plate to check on things.

To be completely honest none of the flex plates hold billet or not they still brake I had a friend with a fast intentions that broke it na u just never know
