I adore Resetti because he reminds me of a very ornery great uncle I had who would scold everyone he saw up and down and hit them with critique after critique, all while shoving home-made candies into their hands and making sure they had at least one solid meal to look forward to that day or they'd get TWICE the scolding they were already in for- and it was never anything superficial or simply for the sake of griping. "I ain't got time to piddle around at my age, you make time to listen cause it's gonna be the condensed version!" His love language was being loud and ornery.
