While I don't think that Hiroshima and Nagasaki jokes are appropriate, the Pearl Harbor joke is something most Americans would honestly think is funny. So.. if they have rice buns then my question is: Where are the sushi "burgers?" 🤔 Seriously.. take a deconstructed sushi roll.. since I'm American and don't know any better I'm gonna just say a "California Roll" for example.. and take all the ingredients of the roll, minus the rice because the "bun" is your rice, and layer them between the rice buns. So instead of lettuce as a topping you get seaweed, instead of ketchup and what not you'd get the top "bun" covered with a spreadable soy sauce and fish eggs, avocado, cucumber, etc.. and instead of a burger patty you'd get whatever fish is in the roll, or in the case of a Cali Roll it would be crab meat. And there you have it.. a Sushi Burger. It would (and should) taste exactly like a sushi roll with a BIT more rice due to the "bun" construction. Except, you eat it with your hands like a burger.

I’ve been to Japan once, and had one of the best McDonald’s experiences I’ve ever had there, the food was perfectly made, only complaint would maybe be the size of drinks, a large as like in between an American small or medium

Yeah and because you were on vacation you weren't in a different mindset... oh you were. Lived there for years and japan isn't magic, stop it with the nonsense.

I have been to McDonald’s in like over a dozen countries and japans McDonald’s is pretty superior to any of the others I’ve been to. Note I haven’t been to a French McDonald’s and I hear they’re pretty good too. I know good McDonald’s when I eat it.

When I was stationed in Japan I used to monster dum dum teriyaki burgers. But my funniest experience came in Thailand when I ordered a double cheeseburger and much to my surprise I got a hamburger with double cheese smh. Just a side note if you ever get to visit Japan you absolutely must try potato ice cream.
@vgshwkКүн бұрын
Potato ice cream do you put ketchup or gravy on top?
@rasbey2050Күн бұрын
@vgshwk lol neither, my girlfriend at the time actually had to convince me to try it. Potato flavored ice cream just did it sound appetizing however it's was really sweet and it tastes like potatoes I don't know how they do it, but it was way better than I thought it would be
@vgshwkКүн бұрын
@ well when you go to Asia you see different combinations you wouldn’t see in the USA. Look at all the potato chip flavors different taste buds I guess..
@rasbey2050Күн бұрын
@vgshwk this was back in the 90s so I don't know if they still make it or not but there was a winter crab pizza made by Domino's that you can only get in Japan because they're the only ones with these winter crabs. I have metaphorically cried every day since I've been back to America every time I see a Domino's menu because it's not on there 😭

Nope, we cannot agree on the subject of Pineapple :) it has definitely a place in cooking! My favourite dishes from my childhood I still make sometimes is fried pork in a garlic Creme Fraiche sauce topped with Pineapple Chunks, served with rice. It is very very tasty :)

Please refrain from joking about the attack on Pearl Harbor. My father almost got killed by a USN AAA projectile fired by panicking USN sailors who forgot to set the altitude knob which rendered it a contact explosive. It exploded on contact close to my father who was working in downtown Honolulu. I am tempted to insult you but shall refrain from posting Ollie & Lena jokes.

All the fast foods here in the states def doesnt look anything like the pictures or commercials. At least the beef patties in Japan fills up the whole burger unlike the patties here in the states are barely 80% of the bread. Its just sad. Also, just because you are in Japan doesnt mean every restaurant serves Japanese food, so it makes no sense to make comments like "it doesnt taste Japanese" 🙄🙄
