As a guy I really identify with this, bright colors often don't feel like they would look good on me. But if I was dressing my partner, I'd almost certainly go straight for the bright colors. Probably this has something to do with societal expectations of masculinity that go away when you're dressing someone else. EDIT: Well, it turns out I'm not a guy. Joke's on past me, I have a wardrobe with brightly-colored dresses now :)

I loved this video so much, it's exactly the fun light-hearted video I needed this week! 🧡 And do love the HanDan fashion pro tip that when in doubt, a bunch of yellow/orange stuff together will look good!! Also because I'm barely 5ft I have the same "issue" with those Lucy & Yak trousers and their shape. Friday's was surely a 9! Beats the 8.5 for me. At 14:00 & 15:50 on - omg take that colour mix away (day 3 if I remember) - "slightly erratic" is an understatement (of the mix, not of you). 16:40 indeed the lines do work. Plain top would work better in my eyes. Last day, yeah, agree. The colours on top and lack of shape don't work together, IMO. General thoughts: surprised you don't do thick wool/similar socks more often (or maybe tights I guess) for indoors. So comfy. The indoor ones with pads to avoid slipping on floors with (my wife keeps buying me these, I enjoy, but I think I have too many now)

This may have been commented before, but for warmth with wider trousers: tights or leggings underneath! Added bonus: trousers can then be rolled up without having freezing ankles (and, depending on the colour of the tights/leggings, they can add colour to the outfit). On a different note, this video was fascinating! I am a very visual person and I have never had problems putting together outfits. My brain immediately knows which colours work together (in my opinion). I never realised apparently not everyone finds it that easy. Your wardrobe is so full of beautiful pieces that you clearly love, and they are all so different but still clearly your style; just looking at your closet gave me so much joy and inspiration, so I am really enjoying seeing you experiment with that. Regarding more challenges using clothes you already own, I can recommend these: - monochromatic looks (or at least withing certain colour palettes, like only yellow, brown, orange one day and only red, pink and purple the next etc) - only natural fabrics - only the absolute favourites (like, top 3 pullovers, top 3 trousers, top 3 dresses etc) and see if they work with each other - making summer pieces work in winter - wearing things not as they are 'supposed' to be worn (put the t-shirt over the pullover, wear a cardigan upside down, roll up trousers way higher than usual etc) (I know this can be a bit silly but also quite eye-opening) - try and put together outfits without sticking to any of the rules that you follow only because it's a well-known 'fashion rule', like 'black goes with everything', 'fancy things only go with fancy things' etc. The aim would be to find out whether you actually like those rules or you just follow them because that's what you think you're supposed to do. - capsule wardrobe - 10x10 challenge: ten items of clothing make up ten different outfits (google for further details) - pick one item and style it differently each day for a week - Dan's clothes (if he's okay with that)

I'm tiny (5"2) with a similar body shape and have mixed feelings about wide-leg trousers, but honestly it changed my life when I started rolling them up (same for arms on oversized tops/shirts/coats). Now I always try pieces in charity/vintage shops unrolled and rolled before I decide if I'm keen. Most of the time I find rolling tapers wider cuts, which then makes pieces fit my frame much better. Personally big fan of the rolled up aesthetic and def recommend rolling up those orange pants before passing on them!

Really loved Dan's approach to this! He could have just picked easy to style items like jeans and plain jumpers but he really went for it with the crazy patterned pieces and still tried to make them work. I love how the outfits got progressively more unhinged (in a good way) in the first half of the week. I actually loved the patterned blouse with the rainbow trousers! Would have actually loved to see the the striped trouser under the dungarees though. I think he may have been onto something with that.

Have only recently started using depop and I'm loving getting 'new' stuff from there. I probably should go back through my wardrobe and sort stuff out that I don't wear but for the time being it's nice having a wardrobe change (and getting parcels). Also since I spend most days in uniform, generally just wearing stuff that's not uniform is a treat. I tend to gravitate towards more cute wintery layers with tights rather than jeans or joggers.
