@@saintwumples4403 plus megas are the only gimmick that isn't locked to a region. Terra CAN be in other regions like shown for Unova but it needs to be in certain area. Megas, though, can be found anywhere and many people can use it to get a buff they need (or don't need).

This funniest thing about this video is something that I remember seeing in the comments in the OG video. About how funny it is that Tele is mad that ABR for stalling the game for way too long, when Tele was the one who brought pure stall to this match. Like dude, if you don’t want a stupidly long game don’t make a pure-stall Mon team

I wasn't there for the game but looking back at an old smogon forum apparently the battle lasted 6hrs and 50 minutes apparently....honestly massive respects to ABR for sticking it out. Something really cool I learned recently from a BKC video was Sub+Protect Suicune which is generally refered to as "VinCune" is actually named after a player named Vin who built in response to a stall team that ABR built that was dominating the metagame at that time.

I'm gonna be honest, if a game lasts for 1,000 turns that doesn't make it better. Imagine if a soccer/football/Hockey/any game went on for a whole year because it went into overtime and nobody could score? That wouldn't make it any more exciting than the Miracle on Ice, it just means it was a long ass game. It's what happens in those 1,000 turns that would make it great. And this was just a stall battle that was glorified for it's longevity. Is it impressive? Yes. The greatest? Nah. (If you want a contender, Se-jun Park winning worlds with a Pachirishu was unforgettable, definitely up there as one of the G.O.A.Ts.

How do you even have enough pp for 1k turns?

The vast majority of turns were just the players switching, so later on in the game, 1 pp would be consumed like once every 30 turns

40*4*6 = 960. In other words, even without switching if all pokemons have all moves with high enough pp(or moves that need few turns to execute), and were under statuses like sleep or paralysis, plus switching... it isn't something unbelievable. Though, in that situation it was just switching-heavy(1 pp was consumed per around a 10 turns).

I don't think you should be basing your perception of Showdown on one 10 year old match where one of the players was explicitly trying to be as obnoxious as possible, That can't even happen anymore due to rule changes made specifically to avoid it. But hey that's just me
