0:39 @Michellemcd543 😮 As a melanin-challenged chick, I feel it is MY responsibility to tell you I'm concerned about Barbie-Blacksploitation and your opening comments toward mini-Michelle. 😢 Many of my friends are Black Barbies who are underpaid, undervalued, and unionizing behind the scenes. So, my fellow McDaniel chick? I'm watching 👀 you. Treat your ppl right! I can't believe you're pampering yourself right in front of mini-Michelle.😢 I'm not a lawyer, but this injustice has inspired me to go to law school. As a cynical Gen-Xer, I know I'll never have time to pay off the Student Loans, but I just need to see justice for mini-Michelle. Especially bc she's a fellow McD chick! How could you?!?😢😫 I kill me! 🤣😜 I'm here all week. Can we get a round of applause for your servers tonight? No need to DUI. The hostess will happily call u an Uber or taxi if you're fancy. I'll be selling cassette tapes after the show (don't judge me; I hv no production staff, nor budget). Come by and say "hi!" Except you, fellow Ms. McDaniel. Your name's not on the list. But mini-Michelle is welcome. 😂 Well, I have law schools to apply to at age 50. It's gonna take some time for me to pass the Bar, but in a few yrs, I'm coming for you...🤨😉👋 -🌴 just me in Palm Springs 🌴 P.S. Laugh w me: IRL story. I'm so White, I'm "off-blue." My BFF is a Black chick who needs zero makeup. I need artificial color. At the MAC counter to buy the only foundation that doesn't turn me orange. Friend's bored. Til this happened... Me: I need (foundation color). Cute hispanic gay dude/MAC: Oh, honey! You're wearing the wrong color. It's far too light. That's why u look so pale! I mean... fair. Me: I've been wearing this shade for 15 yrs. Trust a White Chick. MAC Guy: Can I just show you the difference? I think you'll see... (disappears to get me "the right color") Me (to friend): Sorry. This happens a lot. Now we hv to let this nice guy turn me orange before he'll go get the color I originally asked for. Friend: White Chick problems?😂 MAC guy: (He comes back w a shade darker than mine; puts it on my jawline and did this): 😮 Me: See? I'm orange. Please get my shade? MAC: I'm so sorry! I've never sold that shade before! You do know that's our lightest shade... (pauses) Me: Go on... MAC: Well, we hv a special edition shade for Kabuki theater, and your shade is one up from that. BFF loses it. Just 🤣🤣🤣's. And she's a highly regarded attorney, so she usually can keep a poker face.😐 To this day, she asks if I need to touch up my Kabuki face before we go eat. 😂 PPS Screw law school. I'll just show BFF these discriminatory opening comments, and I'm sure she'll want the case...😂 Love your stuff. Gonna go actually watch now. Hope u see this Wall O' Text I built just for you and the Almighty Algorithm. Dedicated to mini-Michelle ❤. Kabuki +1 out. 👋😁

They sit there and say eating healthy is expensive while simultaneously eating enough to feed a family of 5 everyday. There’s no way you can’t afford healthy food
@Just-Nikki
@Just-Nikki 4 ай бұрын
That boggles my mind. Meal prep a big ole salad and grill some chicken. That’s lunch for a few days. Make a frittata with lots of veggies, that’s breakfast for a few days, make some meatballs and zucchini noodles, that’s dinner for a few days. Buy chick peas and tahini and make hummus for a snack and slice some veggies. Then when that’s getting low, meal prep a few more days worth of food. I can feed myself and my 6’2, 200 lb husband for around $100 a week and I buy exceptional quality food. I buy 85% locally grown and sourced food and I don’t purchase convenience foods. Ingredients aren’t expensive, convenience foods are. I found that if I bought a box of cereal, my husband could eat that in 2 days just because it was here, so I don’t buy it and he snacks on whatever I made for us to snack on.

Can i brag here? After 10 years of depression, anxiety and +24kgs later, I decided to go to a gym, with a trainer. It's been two weeks, I feel amazing, I have more energy than when I did when I was 24, anxiety is much lower, I want to do things! Every day. It's an amazing feeling. 1500kcal a day, gym twice a week, on other days bike or swimming pool. I already lost 2.5kgs It was hard to finally get to doing all this, but it's more than worth it. Thank you Michelle, you were one of the factors that made me get my sh!t together! If I could start taking care of myself, anyone can! Lots of love to everyone reading this ❤ Edit 1 (more to come with updates;p): I have never experienced so much positive vibes, so much encouragement and support, so many kind words on the internet before. I would like to thank you, amazing strangers ♥️, each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart, for all the comments below. You are truly wonderful people, with beautiful hearts. I'm not gonna lie, my eyes started sweating from the overwhelming amount of support. Thank you once again, you are the best!♥️ Edit2: It's gonna be a quick one, from the moment I've started going to the gym, eating 1500kcals per day, and living more actively the stats are as per below: Chest: 117cm (-5cm) Belly: 105.5cm (-1.5cm) Arm: 32cm (-1cm) Hips: 104.5cm (-1.5cm) Thigh: 56cm (-3cm) Calf: 38.5 (-1.5cm) I couldn't be happier;)

Go you! I have multiple mental health issues and I do find the physical activity every day really helps, be that gym, running, just going out and getting the steps in. I also had a personal trainer at the start of my health journey and it gave me that reason to go to the gym, and reassurance having someone there who could explain what to do. Glad that you are already feeling the benefits, and it only gets better I promise!

As an incurable cancer patient, ask me what I would do to be cured, or what I can do to extend my life, and I would do it. The fact that he is literally about to die, yet he still has a chance to live, but doesn’t want to do what the doctor is telling him, is just mind boggling, and honestly, frustrates and angers me to no end. And don’t get me started on his mother. . .

I believe his obesity was the cause of his lack of will to live. Weighing almost 1000lb at 26 years old, he must have been very large as a kid. Before he ever really experienced life, his world view had narrowed to a room or two, entertainment devices, and highly processed food. That was all he knew, and how appealing is an isolated, painful future. What's so infuriating is that it didn't have to be that way.

Sean’s story was so dark and depressing. His mother died suddenly, and his goal was not to live independently, but get into a nursing home. Right before he died, his life was basically just being slumped naked in a chair all day, never bathing, only getting up for pizza delivery with a blanket clutched in front of him. He died from complications stemming from a bad skin infection after numerous warnings from Dr. Now, so it was more the case that Sean just gave up on life. Really tragic. Also tragic that Mommy Dearest didn’t live to reap what she sowed.

The thing is that Fat acceptance people would probably say "that's an extreme case" but these people on my 600LB life were once just 200 pounds over weight, they were once just eating 2 cheese burgers a day. It escalates! It gets out of control and quickly! That's the cautionary tale this show is trying to tell. We've seen some fat acceptance members gain significant weight and even die from complications. It's so sad. We're not being hateful. It drives me crazy when fat people say "you don't actually care about our health" I can't speak for everyone but I can speak for me and I DO care about people's health and quality of life.

Some of us were never really healthy weight to begin with. Other people use food for other things and just grow used to it (it's easier in each individual moment to deal with it even if it'd be easier overall to fix it, especially when it's a coping mechanism causing it). People just incorporate new aches and pains into their normal, often only getting a wake up when they don't experience it for a brief moment. For context: I've never been in that large, but I was where I could drop half my weight and just get into the officially healthy range.

I think one argument, which seems to be lost in all overeating shows/vids is how poor nutrition influences the brain and mood. Our thinking machine needs proper food and starving it of good stuff, while overdoing the bad one, is terryfying. I wonder how many people overlook their diet as a reason for mood swings and depression.
@TheBigMe0w

Absolutely! What you eat influences gut bacteria (which ones you have and what they/you crave), hormones, energy levels, sleep. That's why it's so tricky! And also why many people are convinced they just genetically crave different foods than others when much comes down to your diet of the past weeks, months, years. Sadly, what you eat also is reflected in your taste buds. Once you stop eating sugar for a few months, you'll notice how bad most candy tastes for example and you now appreciate the natural subtle nuances of veggies, that you could hardly taste before. It's crazy

I feel that. I have an obese narcissistic mother as well. My mother is working towards becoming morbidly obese. I never had to bathe her. Give it another decade or two and her hips give out like her mother's did and she'll need the help. I don't think she starved me on purpose. I think that was just a consequence of being poor. I would sneak and hide food for later as often as I dared. And I wouldn't miss a chance to eat. If food was offered it was taken happily. She would make me feel so gross for being naturally thin. Comments about my clothes and hobbies. She always wanted me to wear skinny jeans and tight shirts so she could live vicariously through me. Her exact words once were, "If I had a body like yours, I'd wear skinny jeans and leggings all the time." I don't care for them. I sit on my feet so the denim cuts into my skin. She wanted me to be a cheerleader because that's what she would of done if she was thin in middle and high school. Nevermind I didn't have the interest. Nor did we have the money so it was a short lived delusion. Yet she'll look me in the eyes and tell me she never did anything to tear my sister and I down. Narcissistic moms are the worst. I can't wait for my baby brother to grow up and realize she sucks, so I can cut contact. I hope you can get away from your mother as well. I empathize with your plight.

Last week, I was eating at a frozen yogurt place and this family came in. The father and mother were fit, and they had big muscles; on another hand the child, about 5 years old, was the biggest 5 year old I had ever seen. It just pisses me off that parents give kids whatever they want just because they don’t want to hear their whining and tantrums. It’s literally a part of parenting that everyone should learn to deal with. My parents always controlled what I ate and had a treat every once in a while, I turned out the perfect weight. How is this not seen as a form of neglect? CPS should be on their ass.

Tbf, if they were muscular, they probably tend to hold body fat as well but weight lift. They probably eat a similar diet to their kid, it's just being stored as fat instead of muscle. I've seen a lot of fit people who don't eat a very nutritious diet. Though I agree that too many parents are lazy with what they feed their kid. My toddler eats healthier than I do and why would I even introduce him to things like sweets and fried chicken if I don't want him eating those things

For example, when my dad had a heart health crisis and was told to change the way he ate, he immediately changed his diet. The first day he was out of the hospital he changed everything about the food he consumed and mum changed, too. Told to exercise more. They did it. What is the point of paying for advice and then ignoring it. Lunacy to do that!

That started happening to me as well. I recently realised that it started when I stopped exercising, so I started exercising again and the urge of eating didn't stop, but my stress levels did go down, so I don't stress eat as much. May not be the answer for everyone, but wanted to share what worked the best for me. P.s. I think I should clarify that I don't go to the gym nor do I lift weights, I just started cycling and walking more, and even if I wanted to do more, it wouldn't be lifting weights 'cause I simply don't like that. If you decide to exercise try finding what works best for you.

Hey, sorry if this sounds obvious, but maybe you could try getting rid of snack foods or making them harder to access? Or keep healthier options ready? Like cut vegetables and the like. I have the opposite problem (I lose my apetite when stressed) and having snacks with decent amounts of calories easily accessible everywhere really helped me. I figure doing the opposite might help you. :)

You will never end up like this just from “eating too much.” If you are able to move and exercising regularly you will be fine. Getting to this point would require a huge amount of effort. He would sit for days, eat way more than his body could mange, and there was definitely a genetic and nurturing component. If you walk even like 30 minutes every other day, you will not end up like this. Will you be a size 6? No. But you won’t be unhealthy.

I’ve lost quite a bit of weight and I feel super energized. Honestly, Michelle, your videos have really helped me with this choice because I’m reminded that I don’t wanna live in this ignorant bliss. I don’t want to live in denial. I know that I may not end up being twigged, but I at the very least live a healthy way, exercise, and try to just be happy in my skin. I'm sorry, but unless your child is disabled, it should never get to the point where you start wiping their ass AGAIN, NO!! I had to skip a lot of the video, no fault of Michelle's. I just don't want to see a grown man say "mom, I've had an accident" Get him a Nintendo wii, he could do exercises from his bed (playing tennis or something, where he only needs to use his top half) and wouldn't be as bored, so wouldn't keep eating. Fuck, what a depressing ending. 26 years old! Yeah for #HAES......I guess? 😢

The loss of life is tragic enough, but when there are more and more people rolling into the death cult, the figures are just gonna keep rising and rising. Using made-up words to make themselves sound morally justified. Because we all know it's true, being scared of being morbidly obese is not irrational, it's logical. Like fatphobia was ever a valid word to begin with, but hey, let those plonkers bounce around the fields of delusion all they want. Wii Sports could have been a more intuitive way to focus, and motivate his mind beyond just food. But unfortunately, people just don't care enough to try. Fat Acceptance is, and always will be, a death cult.
