He died? 😮 First heard of Morgan Spurlock in my first year of college back in 2005. My colleagues and I began to rethink ourselves about McDonalds after seeing that documentary of his. Thanks for sharing that experience, Spurlock man. Peace. Since then, I’ve undergone a personal health change in the last year alone. I was 214 lbs in 2023, but then in 2024. I lost 28 lbs in a year with daily jogging an hour a day five days a week. 🏃 I won’t go back to those old habits again.

I was at a park in West Virginia years ago, waiting for my kids to ride a pony, when I realized Morgan Spurlock was standing right beside me with his wife and young son. I recognized him right away from Super Size Me, which I enjoyed and had a big effect on my eating habits. I had also just seen a sign at the park for a Spurlock family reunion, so I knew it was him! I didn’t ask him for his autograph or anything, though, because he was having fun with his family and I didn’t want to bother him, but we all chatted briefly-just normal conversation between regular people. He seemed very down to earth and easygoing. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace. ❤️

He was my ex boss's client and friend and I worked on his PR for "Supersize Me" as well, when I got there as one of my first jobs. He was a great guy, from what it seemed. RIP Morgan.

I remember watching Supersize me back in school. Can’t recall if it was high school or middle school. Rest in peace, man.

Kids born in late 90s and early 2000s have remembered watching his documentary in either Gym or Health class. Me personally, I’ve seen Super Size Me twice in gym class back in Middle and high school.

Was literally just talking about supersize me with a co worker (who went to the same school I did, and saw the documentary as often as I did) the other night at work!! Supersize me was an icon of a film. He was a daredevil. Nobody told him to go eat only McDonald's for that long lol everything he did it was his cause. Rip legends never die😭

He was not a great man. He was a con man. His super size movie was debunked and he was drunk for most of the movie. His doctor even stated he had the liver of an alcoholic. He got sick during the movie because he was often drinking and of course he would barf when he was drunk then goes to that grease pit McDonald's and eat that food. It was shown that he lied on his documentary with the numbers where cooked, he would not give out his log book for the study. Which for a scientist should have raised red flags. When I was in college in knew a lot of kids who did not want to eat in the cafeteria so they ate fast food every day with very little ill effect besides Elevated cholesterol some of these kids were even in sports.

I wouldn’t be surprised if eating at McDonald’s for a month, even though it was a while ago it could still carry complications through your life years after. That’s sad. The documentary was the beginning of a lot of truth telling.
