Seeing such young men and women dedicate two years of their lives in the selfless service of others through missionary work is indeed encouraging and faith promoting. Given the direction in which the world is going today, it gives one hope and faith that the future is secured with today's young men and women who live lives of righteousness and virtue. May the Lord continue to bless and protect you valiant youth of the nation!

Actually they are Christians. I am and I have never met anyone (LDS) who isn't christian :)
@Yesica19937 жыл бұрын
@ LeeAnn Zea Actually, they are not. LDS and Christianity are two entirely different, separate, distinct religions with completely different theologies. That's why Joseph Smith started it. No amount of smiley faces changes that fact.
@leeannzea4037 жыл бұрын
it really is pointless for me to debate this with you, because it is obvious that no matter what i say you are not going to change your opinion. we in fact do believe a LOT of the same things other Christians do, but there were a few things that Jesus Christ revealed to Joseph smith that the other churches didn't know and didn't believe, so instead of trying to change churches to preach what was revealed to him, he was directed by Jesus Christ to create a new one. that doesn't make us completely different. we believe in the same Jesus Christ, so unless your definition of a christian is different than mine, we have similarities, and are not a COMPLETELY different theology. im sorry that you think that way about us and our church for what ever reason, and that i most likely will not be able to debate further with you on this subject, but regardless i respect what ever religion you are and/or what you believe. and thank you for trying to tell me your opinions and what i believe. and i suggest that next time you do research on a church, and what they believe, that you take a look at raw facts and not just get info from people who do not agree with the church in the first place, and what others tell you. you don't get a very good picture by doing that. But i hope you have a good day anyway. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
@Yesica19937 жыл бұрын
@ LeeAnn Zea "it really is pointless for me to debate this with you, because it is obvious that no matter what i say you are not going to change your opinion. " It's not an opinion. It's fact. Go read Joseph Smith's testimony on the official LDS website. He created the LDS religion because he thought (or was told in revelation, I can't recall the specifics) that all the Christian denominations of the time were in error. It's all there. LDS and biblical Christianity teach entirely different things about God, Jesus Christ, man, heaven, hell, sin, redemption, and eternity. That's fact, not my opinion. That's why you think it's "pointless" to discuss it with me.
@leeannzea4037 жыл бұрын
true they were IN error not OF error. they did all teach truths but they didn't teach all of the truth. YES we are different, and YES we do believe different things, but your comment was saying that Mormons are not Christians. Mormons believe and base their whole church on Jesus Christ and his teachings. that makes them Christian. that is the point I was trying to make. and the reason I think its pointless is because I don't like to argue with others especially when it wouldn't make a difference. Christ wouldn't do it and I don't like to either. NOT because i'm afraid you can use my church against me, but because I generally don't like to argue.
@bumontana6 жыл бұрын

My first thought: how sad; these young missionaries building their lives around the phony Book of Mormon and proselytizing to others. My second thought: wait a minute; these young people and their converts are creating a bulwark against Islam! Every new Mormon is one less Muslim, and that's a great thing: no honor killings, no female circumcision, no murdering of cartoonists for blasphemy.. Mormonism may be a huge crock and it has its dangers. However, those dangers pall when compared to the dangers of Islam. For the record, I'm an agnostic atheist (I don't claim there's no God, only that I haven't seen sufficient evidence to believe on one).
