Hello I just wanted to say that you have been such an inspiration to me. I joined the Air Force and shipped for bmt on October 1st of last year. One of my roommates here at tech school in Fort Leonard Wood Missouri is getting assigned to Grand Forks North Dakota for as her first duty station! Her and I both agree that your bmt tips really helped us out during that first chapter of training. I know it's a small Air Force and I hope I get the chance to meet you in person someday.

i'm actually going through a similar situation as you are now. I'm Navy and TDY in Pensacola for 3 months. I'm stationed in Washington normally and my apartment is there. But i wish i would have put my stuff in storage end my lease. I had 1 month before it ended and would have been homeless when i get back as well but would have had 2 months of bah in my pocket instead. If you can't find new roommates before you leave put your stuff storage and collected thats bah. You could find you another place to live before you leave and have all the paperwork done and move in when you get back. That's what i would if i could redo my situation. Love your content Elora.

She was previously married and they don't typically put you back in the dorms after a divorce. She didn't say she isn't getting BAH. It's just way better having roommates. For the AF we can get out of our dorms or barracks or whatever you want to call them as early as E-3.
