Joseph, aka Joe, seems about right for a rooster of his temperament.

In northern IL this time of year the duckweed does in fact grow as fast as people say it can. I have a quarter acre pond that is fed from rainwater runoff off of nearby farm fields. My pond looks like a putting green.

😂 Good one I am thinking about going back to Idiocracy since a past one was Uppgrayyedd and calling this guy Not Sure since we were not sure for a while what he was.

I like not sure. I was trying to think of evasive character. He is trying to evade capture in that movie and I like the Abbott and Costello type capabilities with a name like not sure

Does azolla gets it’s nutrients from ducks popping in the water or does one add other fertilizer in the water?
@survivalpodcasting6 ай бұрын
The ducks don't get access to the water where it is growing in this video. It is fish waste and remember azolla fixes it's own Nitrogen so it more needs P and K and micros then lots of waste.
@survivalpodcasting6 ай бұрын
Also if you let them into where azolla is you won't have any very soon. They eat it like candy. I do have one pond that dumps in duck waster but it is really for another plant, but azolla does grow in parts of that system too.

Holy shit, azolla has a protein content of 35%.

Yep, but just know that is dry weight.
@LegacyFarmandHomestead6 ай бұрын
@@survivalpodcasting yeah but that is still incredible. I might be doing some experiments with it and drying it out on a screen to save for winter feed for my chickens. That seems promising

@@LegacyFarmandHomestead Make sure you dry it in one layer or it will literally compost itself.
