When House gave Wilson his painkillers, and Wilson asked, "you have enough for the both of us?", you can just see how Wilson, no matter how much pain it caused him, would always care about House, and he always has since the beginning. And, House knowing he will be in agony as well by giving Wilson the Vicodin shows that, though his care for Wilson hasn't really ever been noticeable, it has always been there. This scene makes me so emotional omg

Houses care for Wilson has always been noticeable even when Wilson on multiple occasions said he was done with house, House was never done with Wilson. I think it's a bit deeper than that. Wilson is indirectly saying that House deserves pain, and in a sense, House agrees with him. Which is why it matters later on when Wilson realizes what it means that House feels constant pain *all the time* without Vicodin. Frankly, a life of constant pain seems worse than a painful death.
@LucyLynette3 жыл бұрын
@@TheEddagosp Actually, you get used to it. I haven't gone a day without leg pain in 18 years. It's not as bad as House's condition, but even my good days would still be bad enough to absolutely ruin the week of anyone who isn't used to it. People with chronic pain live differently. It's not just the limitations on what we can do, it's also constantly 'taking your temperature' in the sense of gauging your abilities and tolerance at any given moment, and having a completely different scale of what counts as "too much pain to keep going," compared to scales other people use.

A smile 😊❤ Even if they say they don't need it or want it, even if they say they don't want to see anyone, even if they say they're fine. Do everything you can to make them smile. You have no idea how much they need it. And honestly, from my own personal experience, neither does the sick person. I never realized how lonely and sad I was until I got a visit from someone when I was feeling terrible and said I didn't want to see anyone. They didn't talk, but they didn't leave. After a while I let it all out. And cried. Then eventually smiled and even laughed. There wasn't a better present in the world that I could have gotten. I didn't know how much I needed it.

About to finish the show, on the last few episodes, just finished this one up and man I cried during these scenes… so much emotion, so much love, so much heart… they’re such amazing friends, and could really teach some lessons.

The most amazing part was Wilson's newfound understanding of "you feel that most of the times??" Also, it's pretty obvious House loves Wilson a lot more than his love for Cuddy....

When Wilson is laughing at the end, you see the toy robot from the cancer kid patient of his who died that he was hallucinating about 💔💔💔
@fieryrainbowdog2 жыл бұрын
Did the kid give it to him before he died, or is this just one of those things like someone leaving their coffee cup in a shot?
@MusicLoverMN Жыл бұрын
The kid was a cancer patient of his who died and yes before he died he gave his toy robot to Wilson. Wilson felt guilty about not being able to save him. Poor Wilson.

Probably one of the few things house did out of genuine care for someone and not self gain

This reminds me of a friendship, at the end of a life, from the real world. Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra were close friends but had a falling out. One day, Dean called Frank out of the blue. Very unexpected. He asked Frank if Frank would like to hear a joke and Sinatra said yes. So Dean asked Frank, "What did one casket say to the other casket?" Frank didn't know, so Dean told him: "is that you, coffin?" which made Frank laugh. A few hours later, Dean Martin died. Imagine that, a dying man making a joke out of the whole thing just to hear his friend laugh one more time. I'm sure it eased Sinatra's greif to know his friend was thinking of him and their friendship even at the end.

I have never seen an episode so deep and emotional in any tv series I’ve watched in my life. However, I have a question for doctors or/and med students: the treatment that Wilson was planning for himself could have actually worked? I don’t know anything about medicine but I always thought that it was useless and just painful... And I don’t understand why they already know that the cancer is lethal after just one chemo session.
@scarjo96353 жыл бұрын
Chemo reduces the size of tumor so it is easy to operate. Some tumors respond well to chemo while some are resistant to it. Here tumor on wilson didnt shrink after chemo...

the part i like is when wilson acknowledges that house's life sucks with the amount of pain he's constantly in, it just feels so validating for him to say that, and the reason house glosses over it so much is that he cares for wilson enough to not make it about him, even though thats assumed to be his character i think its a good beat that people miss
@AzguardMike Жыл бұрын
Wilson in his pain state effectively saying "you deserve to have Cancer" to House was a shocker. And i love they kept the flubbed line in at 5:35ish when House says he doesnt have the tools to help him. He slurs and carries on, it feels more real that way.

@rake10873 жыл бұрын
Yes, I do lmao. I have a condition where my blood pressure is very unstable so it drops to very dangerous levels, and when it happens, it feels horrible, even if I'm in my bed getting on the ground is weirdly comforting, also once I was very drunk that when I got home I puked my heart out. I couldn't even stand up from how bad I felt after puking that I just got down on the patio floor and I almost fell asleep there because it the cold felt very good LOL

Somehow I find that hard to believe. I believe there is a cure discovered many years ago. Just think how much money would be lost if the cure was revealed. All those drugs for Chemotherapy make Big Pharma billions per year. Just follow the money.

Because I'm gay, because I somehow managed to live through the AIDS epidemic, this and the previous clip bring back horrible and loving memories. I have no doubt that this shows us a true bromance. It's not just respect, it's love. A friendship in sickness and in health. I like being teased about their relationship...to me, they really should have been a couple. But this scene is just so excellent. I've watched this many times.

It was done because Lisa Edelstein had to be removed from the show. So they made them break up.
@americanrroyalty3 жыл бұрын
@@AnimeCritical why was she removed?
@AnimeCritical3 жыл бұрын
@@americanrroyalty She was asking the same money as house and Wilson. That is same money as main cast because she was kind of in the main role after becoming house's girlfriend. But the show creators wanted to keep paying her support cast money. So she was removed from season 8 and for that reason the story was changed to house not being able to support her, them breaking up, house being a worse doctor because of her, to house crashing his car in her house (something that doesn't fit house's character) and lastly Foreman being dean of medicine.

I know everyone's saying that House is a real friend and stuff but I think that there's much more to it here. House would probably fled or acted selfish again if it didnt take him TWO broken relationships with people he really loved and cared for. I'd say this episode shows us that House has taken a lesson and finally made a step towards a real change. That's a big one in the character arc. And that's why tis one of my favorite episodes in the whole show.
