The demise of this great company was sad to witness. I am pleased to see that some of it is saved here in the video. Mr Morrison is an American Icon who did so many great things in his life. I was lucky to know many and work with them as well.

Yeah, it made the city thrive until ‘95 when it was bought, all because of bill Agee running the company into the ground in a matter of a couple years, they payed him to resign but it was too late, he got money for running MK to the ground, stocks going from 90,000 to 0. After that, all connecting flights and airlines that Boise had because of the international HQ of MK, Amtrak left only two years later for the same reason. No thanks to the Boise anti growth committees, it took us more that 20 years to recover, Boise and salt lake were very similar back in the 80s and 90s, but all because of the anti growth committees not letting any big companies move in, Treasure valley fell way below salt lake county, it’s crazy how a group of people can ruin a city in a few actions. What a series of unfortunate events.

This Company only have a allied branch in Indonesia, called MK + (i dont remenber) ... MK co. was a biggest builnding contractor in the 70`.

The rail division is now two companies: MPI (Motive Power) in Boise and Alstom at the Hornell shops.

Unfortunately not. When Bill Agee became CEO, he ran the company into bankruptcy. It was acquired by Washington Group in 1996 which also declared bankruptcy in 2001. It was then acquired by URS Corporation and then by AECOM in 2014.
