My favourite Morrissey song ever..and that's saying something because there are many.

if only there was footage of the first time I heard this song you would have seen my head explode. It continues to explode every time I hear it.

In that first verse he sings, “Reggie Kray would you know my name?” Reggie and Ronnie, the infamous Kray twins, British gangsters portrayed by Tom Hardy in the movie “Legend.” Moz always goes so deep, you never know who will show up in his songs.

I think this is my favourite Morrissey track. Almost a Smiths track as Mike Joyce, Andy Rourke and Craig Gannon play on it. The video's good as well !

Wow didn't know that - surprised he let MJ play after he took Moz and Marr to the cleaners in court.

My third favorite Morrissey single. Everyday is Like Sunday is no.1 and Suedehead no.2...I’m sure many peeps throw songs your way. For pure reaction worthy suggestions by Moz, “November Spawned a Monster” is a good one because of the subject matter and crazy flourishes of sounds in the track. I like “Pregnant for the Last Time” because it’s full on rockabilly pomp. “You’re gonna need someone on your side” due to the heavier guitar riffs by Mick Ronson. Lastly, I’ve always loved “Sister, I’m a poet”...just a little b-side ditty that’s got a nice Smiths sound.

Love this one, such a fun song but with some pretty dark lyrics. Very Smiths-like in that respect.

There are two instrumental songs from The Smiths you can do... "Oscillate Wildly" and "The Draize Train". From Morrissey, I'd like "I Don't Mind If You Forget Me".

Or 'A RUSH AND A PUSH AND THE LAND IS OURS'.. or 'WE'LL LET YOU KNOW'. So many underrated Moz classics. TWU

And yes.. ironically the last of the Kray Twins was and indeed fully aware of Morrissey. As a little intresting fact. And mentioned Morrissey in One or Two Public British Newspaper interviews. So Morrissey garnered his Song Lyric wish. As even though the Track itself was obviously more to do with Classic Retro Song Artists than actual Criminal East End Gangsters. As mentioned.

The Kray brothers. The Spandau Ballet brothers did a 1989 film portraying them. And Legend with Tom Hardy as both. (Tom Hardy kicks ass) You should do Spandau Ballet. To Cut A Long Story Short and the biggie True. True is dopey fun awesome. So pop.

Try the V/Vm version of True as well!

Ronnie Kray was also gay, which is fairly unusual for a high-profile gangster. I often wonder if Morrisey's seeming attraction to dangerous roughnecks is a bit of a subtext to this song....

A classic tune. Have you reacted to Jeane and Paint a Vulgar picture by sthe Smiths yet? Would recommend if you haven't already. Otherwise would suggest you get stuck into Bona Drag and Viva Hate.

Morrissey's solo singles have been a bit hit and miss, perhaps unsurprisingly, given the number of songwriters he's worked with. My recommendations are "Suedehead" and "Interesting drug".
