@@heysimmone they are different from scones. We call them rock cakes rather than rock buns. Ingredients are flour, butter, sugar, dried fruit, egg & milk.

Thanks for the recipe Adrian. I made some today and they were so good and easy to make. Could taste the fresh picked lime rind which gave it a different taste. The best rock bun recipe I have used.

@kerlene1986 OK. In T&T, you call it drops, but in Jamaica, coconut drops is just chopped up coconut with caramelized sugar. Same for peanut drops.

I don’t like citrus dried fruit but that’s only me. Take no offense. I like some nutmeg and custard powder in it. I made some a few hrs ago 😋but without the egg 🥚 and I just saw your video. Not much difference. Yum yum 😋

No sah! Mi need fi mek dis! Haven't made these since high school and I have everything except for the mixed peel. Mi seh yu jus fling mi right back inna memory lane an mi a mek dem yah as mi wake tomorrow 😋 Edited to add: I made these and everyone loved them. Mine took 4 tbsp of milk and I only added currants and some flavoring but they were delicious

I used to make this in high school. When I became a mom It was normally a tradition to make it for my my little one. The babysitter, was feasting on it instead of giving my child the bun and tell me how good the rock bun is! Imagine! 😂 😝

@@triciatoughIt's crazy how the name deviates across the Caribbean. I know exactly what you're talking about; in other islands what you would call coconut drops ( without flour) is known as sugar cake. Both great recipes
