I think I am the only Li Mei player out there, but thank you for giving us the respect we deserve because players keep on saying that she is a brain dead character who can easily get in on someone when that is entirely not the case. IT'S ENTIRELY THE OPPOSITE IF YOU ARE LITERALLY PLAYING THE CHARACTER IN THE FIRST THREE CATEGORIES. If I somehow close the gap on you and you're playing a character who is really Plus on a lot of things that's your fault. And Tanya is not brain-dead even on casual play due to her being really slow up close but very good mid to long range. Once you end up blocking her wake up attack she is easily punishable especially if she does not have a good cameo. I should know because I am probably the farthest in the casual category as someone who works a job and hardly plays games anymore 🤷‍♂️ the only reason I keep up with this stuff is because I used to play video games a lot.

I get that tremor got buffed, but he’s far from autopilot. Lots of thinking to do. Khameleon, sure you can just hit buttons and be okay, but to use her well or “godlike” requires lots of external strategy. Really most of them require skill and timing to use well. I can’t stand people just “keeping themselves safe” with kameos, sure you can do that, but it’s super lame to sit and do that the whole match. I truly think the reason why some people got fed up and stopped playing, is for that reason. People have no shame in being lame, and Meta trolls spamming crap to win is also disgraceful, and they should play something else 😉

I'm a Shujinko main and his steals against the DLC character are pretty strong, especially Ermac. I was able to do a 47% meterless combo with Kitana. Also before his buffs his best steals were Sub-zero, Scorpion, and Geras. With Geras I got a 60% combo with Sindel for one bar, no fatal blow. So this kameo is preety good for meterless damage and utility and you can charge him while doing a combo so he's available again by the time you're finished. I just think a lot of people are put off by him due to his inherent difficulty, but I think he's incredibly fun to use.

Reiko braindead ? His zoning is somewhat stupid but more annoying than threatening. His other tools ? His biggest weapon is his 33/33/33 mixup (overhead/sweep/command grab) but for that, you must be very close to your opponnent and with Reiko, it's just a pain in the ass because his advancing tools are either useless (4,4,4) or very risky (slide, tackle). Thankfully, he has one of the best D4 of the game to save him on neutral. Up close, things are easier for him but not won. Despite some plus frames, his pressure is not perfect: his strings are too statics, his arms have T-rex range, his kicks only good in neutral and his mids suck (F1 too slow, bad stagger and lose your turn, F4 unsafe and B3 is a whiff punish kick). Finally, his mixups work ONLY if your opponnents are conditionned to block or it will fail. No downplay, Reiko is strong but braindead, absolutely not. I hope Khaos Reign will bring some changes to his gameplay, even if he'll must be nerfed to equilibrate.

In my opinion the problem isn't necessarily the characters but the kameo system. Most expression and tricky executions come from timing the kameos, which makes high level play a bit harder to achieve for casuals. And at the same time, this makes most characters moveset pretty boring and more so the optimal routes, since they're all bad if you're not pairing them with the right kameo for them.

i think a real good tremor its not autopilot not even near to that because to be safe on block or do the good resets you gotta attach the execution of your main character and the execution of your kameo in very specific times because idk if a lot of people know these but even ambush kameos have restrictions in when you can call them there is a little sound that hints you that you tried to summon the kameo but its not possible (it also sounds when you try to call it when the kameo gauge its empty) and with tremor that must be timed twice when you do the skin shift and again when you turn the move into an ambush so i think to make the tricky mix ups and resets using all his potential its actually pretty hard and very complex

Fellow grappling sweep-distance-to-midscreen Reiko main here. I only use the projectiles when they're needed and most of the time they aren't. But they're there. I run Reiko/Sektor, and everyone expects zoning. Nope. Restands, pop-ups and safe, or at the very least, protected strings

Sub-Zero is not bad IF he's compared his kit to MK 1992. Compared to everyone else in the game he's as bad as bad can get. No plus frames, no mix-ups, no range, one safe move that can be low countered, interruptible combos, a mid that can be low attacked with some moves, no safe cancels, punishable on all his specials, specials that just don't work properly, a meterless launcher tied to one of the most reactable overheads in the game, damage scaling out the wazoo even with spending a kameo and meters, the slowest frames in the game only losing to Havik's wake-up armor and Reptile's charged overhead, no properly working projectile, a slide that is slow and punishable, not a single unreactable move. The one thing he is good for (his clone) works against him in most cases and fighters constantly hit through it without getting frozen. All the buffs he received ONLY work in corners and even then, it doesn't do much. At best, it allows for a meterless/kameoless launcher. At worst, it's still as punishable as ever. Meanwhile, every other bottom-tier character got buffs that actually meant something and vastly improved their performance. Everyone else is some of these things. Sub is ALL of these things.

As a Tanya & Sindel main I can 100% say that Sindel's hit confirm is way easier than Tanya I mess up the F211 string a lot and even when I don't I still don't feel like I have enough time to confirm it and if you play with Goro his meter is regenerating soooo fckn slow that you get to use him like 2-3 times in a round which is ridiculous also her damage is sooooo low and she always needs cameo for combos that are still like 30-35% where Sindel is doing 37% easily only with cameo and no meter and using Sereena which is regenerating way faster than Goro not to mention Sindel can speed up the regeneration of the meter...

Silent return is one of the best with tremors kameo, I learned more with him than with Rewind. If the opponent know you are about to cancel your kombo with special move cancel, you can use instead your projectile with tremors cancel. The opponent will get punish instead

If you're letting shao mash 22 on you then you're doing something wrong. Motaro can tp you full screen after you do an armor move so he is definitely braindead. Stryker has the exact same brainedead game plan he had before the nerf. You just can't spam it like before. And Sektor literally just uses up missile to close the distance or to pressure you on wakeup. It's not that complicated. Also Omni-man either uses lao and does full screen hard-to-blockables or he uses Jax and does full screen ground pound into viltrumite stance. Either way you're getting hit

how is rain not braindead…been maining rain in mk11 and I can’t say how bad this character is made in this game. It’s literally just string or button into his cancel and that on autopilot. and then for pressure it’s just string into water portal or cancel till something connects.
