Quan Chi coming out of buttfuck nowhere to just CLOCK Sub-Zero is... potentially the funniest moment in Mortal Kombat history. That, and the fact in the Nintendo 64 version of this game, a lot of the endings end with some off-screen dude just going "... alright." Oh, and the fact the Dreamcast version adds in a few new characters and ALL of them are totally buggy messes. Okay, so maybe this game is just hilarious in general.

This was such a weird sequel, even in the same decade that brought us Mortal Kombat live shows and shoestring budget MK TV dramas. It might be my least favorite main entry, but it's so damn funny that I still sorta love it. "OH I'M GONNA THROW YOU OVER THERE!" is the greatest voice clip in fighting games.

So the order of the Jarek Trilogy was: - Sonya (Jarek dies, Sonya exits safely) - Jarek (Sonya falls, Jarek laughs, then it ends) - Jax (Sonya falls, then Jax kills Jarek) It wasn't shown in the video but the Jax one cut off the beginning where Sonya and Jarek have their little exchange ("It's over Jarek!"); all three endings have the same beginning, but Jax's is the longest and what I like to call the "actual" ending because it's the most ridiculous of the three lol

The Jarek/Sonya/Jax saga is epic, I love it. lol Fun fact: Scorpion's ending where he takes Quan Chi with himself to the NetherRealm is actually canon. He spent a good time tormenting Quan Chi, and the next game starts with Quan Chi fleeing from Scorpion and escaping the NetherRealm in MK: Deadly Alliance's intro opening. You guys should react to the intro if/when you do the endings for Deadly Alliance as the main plot is very linked to the opening scene and the shocking events that happen in it.

I’m not going to lie, watching y’all’s reaction to the funny endings of MK4 was so enjoyable and I literally died laughing when y’all were laughing at Sub-Zero’s ending when Quan Chi blindsides him and then stomps him like madness. I was like “Are there Jolly Ranchers or Doritos in that pocket?” Cause the way Quan Chi stomped on Sub-Zero and you heard the crunch sound, that looked like a pack of Doritos or Jolly Ranchers cracking 😂. And I actually felt bad for both Baraka and Reptile that both of them ended up with a bad ending. By the way that was a good question that Baraka brought up to Quan Chi. How in the hell do you rule the world with no one in it? That to me was just absolutely dumb. At least Baraka has a brain unlike the madman of a sorcerer.

MK4 or "Gold" on Dreamcast is definitely one of the more goofier ones especially the trilogy between Jax, Sonya and Jarek. I also found Liu's to be a little bit humorous solely because of what he says to Kitana. It's hard to hear what he actually says but kinda sounds like he's saying "I thought you were gonna lick my..." but Kitana cuts him off so I wonder how that ends? Either way although 4 isn't the greatest Mortal Kombat its definitely not the worst and often will have you laughing.

The whole Johnny Cage Ending, really illustrates as to who he is. He is supposed to be a cocky asshole that everyone hated. Everyone knows about the character of Johnny Cage, that Johnny Cage is supposed to have awful puns. As much as annoying as it is, people still like the character from the games, is what drew the fans to Linden Ashby's portrayal of the character in the MK movie. By the way, those key endings you saw like Kitana's, Kung Lao's, Liu Kang's, Scorpion's, Tanya's, Raiden's, Kai's, Fujin's, and Cyrax's endings are canonical, because they represented the key elements of the story of MK4/MKG as a whole, whereas the rest of them like Sonya's, Jarek's and Jax's on the cliff are partly canonical, Sub Zero's, Sektor's, Shinnok's, Quan Chi's, Reptile's, Mileena's and Reiko's endings are non-canonical. As Tabmok99 pointed out, they're just "What If...?" Scenarios.

Got a great story about this game. Well 4 not gold. Never had gold. So I was born to teen parents and my youngest uncle is only a few years older than me. So for the better part of my life I lived at my grams and there were always games cause my uncle. One of my earliest memories is when my parents and uncle were at school I would play this, but idk why but I was under the assumption I couldn't play the Playstation so I would take the memory card out so nothing would save. Well this is how young I was and how I think it's amazing that I can remember this. I was still in the process of potty training and I wanted to play mortal kombat 4 so bad I just wouldn't go to the bathroom. So one day my gram walks in and I'm so scared I'm gonna get in trouble I just run out of my uncles room and into the bathroom cause they're right next to each other yelling I gotta poop. Which I did. Now little details are obviously lost but I like to assume little me was like if I just take a nasty shit she'll forget I was playin games. Here's where it gets a little gross. It WAS a nasty shit. My training potty looked like it went through Nam. I don't remember the events that took place in between these 2 moments one bit. But I decided AS A GESTURE OF KINDNESS I would clean my own potty. So I grabbed a brush... my grams toothbrush. My mom had gotten home since she was bit older so she was in college at this point and comes in watching me clean the toilet with the toothbrush. So I cried and said I didn't want gram to be mad me, and I didn't know the differences between brushes. So we told her and I said I thought she'd be mad that I was playing games, and it turns out she didn't care. My mom and gram tell this story to people... all the time. I think that's what keeps the memory alive. But MK4 holds a special place because it was the first game I ever played that I can remember, and it's a story about how I knew how a memory card worked, but not brushes.

MK4 was my first MK game. These endings are so great. You guys should check out Darko Subotin YT channel, he remastered the graphics of some of these endings and they look really good.

Also I recommend that you guys check out the cutscenes from Sub-Zero Mythologies. It's super over the top and hilarious. It's where Shinnok, Quan Chi & Fujin were first introduced (even though MK4 is the first game they were playable.)

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Mythologies was MK's first attempt at a spin-off. It's a side-scrolling platformer that was the definition of jank and frustration. Plus it has live action cutscenes to tell the story. But it actually added a lot of lore to the MK universe. You guys should check out some clips of it and laugh at the impossible controls and cheesy acting. 10/10.

Maybe it's just me but this game was slightly creepy in it's ending cutscenes lol, it's animations and designs were so weird, it looked like something out of uncanny valley. Like a creepy police sketch or something.
