The first story had me bawling like a baby... my son, my beautiful boy is autistic and nonverbal. He is the light of my life. This story touched my heart so deeply. I worry every day what will happen to my baby when I have passed on. For now, i am just on this amazing journey with this magical little soul that i was lucky enough to have been chosen by. Thank you for sharing this, and to the author, i hope you read this and know that i could just give you the biggest hug right now. The world needs more people like you in it

My son is autistic too... and your comment stirred something in me.. but I do know this, your son is gonna be fine ... he is just on another level from the rest of us common folks, and he sees the world on a different level than we do as well. We were chosen to be their parents because we were most suited for the task and the love inside of us that was shown to them was a love they knew that was unwavering and unconditional. As a parent , worrying about them is all a part of our love manifesting itself when that love grows to a insurmountable level. I wish you and your son the absolute best and always remember you're not alone . Someone , somewhere out there cares... keep your head up and see the glory that is your awesome son.

Anyone who knows how can write words, but written words that come from the heart seemingly transforms the writer into an author! Your stories are worth sharing, and who knows you just might help another in the most unexpected ways. Happy writing all- and thanks to all the authors that submitted their stories for our listening pleasure/thrill/chill🤓

I wish I was as strong as you guys are. Every time I see a kid with special needs it makes me feel very upset and I know I shouldn't feel that way but. I always look at the parents and think how strong of people they must be. That's one of the reasons why I'm not having children because I don't believe I'm strong enough to do something like that.

I was crying too. This story was really touching and triggering at the same time. My son is also a non-verbal autistic. The two of us were working on repairs to his troll collection when this story came on, it had us glued to the end. We really loved the writer and his kindness to Tom. Afterwards, we took a break from listening because my husband is a cop and it was enough dear-to -heart topics for the night. It makes my heart happy to see your comment above. Empathy makes the world go round.

People..quit being so damn nice and nonconfrontational! You should not just accept someone touching you and talking to you inappropriately! If you get to the point that you have to report a coworker or boss, one of the first things they will ask is did you tell them to stop? You set the limits with your body! Do you want your child to be this uncomfortable and to accept this type of harrassment? I doubt it!

As someone with severe autism (I am competent but I have severe chronic pain and can’t function very well because of that) I was really worried about the first story. So many times now days I’ve seen people treat autism as being insane or say it like it’s the new r slur. I was really worried that the first story was going to be one of those cases but I was crying by the end. I’ve had multiple friends like Tom throughout my life and I’m so proud of op for being able to help him ❤

Man I feel really bad for that autistic guy. Im autistic myself and can imagine how scared and confused he must have been. I don't think he intended to hurt anyone originally. When the officers yelled at him they must have scared him. Im glad he got to see the house again, and safely. OP letting him come visit to watch cartoons is so sweet. The out of shape person who went hiking with her friends who left her behind? They aren't your friends. You were probably dehydrated before the hike. Your body needed more water to function because you are out of shape and upset your 'friends" left you. 3 miles can seem longer due to terrain. Last but not least, don't you hate it when you fit the description of a poor person in front of wealthy people? They already have this idea you live in a house with dirt floors and it seems you don't have running water either.

Why is it when Children see loved ones from Heaven which has been the case in many story's that ppl assume their Ghost. Like the true story of the little boy at the time who is now a young man who died and came back with many things to tell of Heaven and ppl he seen in Heaven, name of the book "Heaven Is For Real" I've read the book and seen the movie both excellent, if you havnt seen the movie or read the book, you should.
