@@MortyChallenges it’s probably the grinding, you might have to go into wild battles, get hit, run, and heal with the bitter medicine just to grind the friendship down. It’s unfortunate but not having the affection mechanic active makes the game actually challenging, especially considering the E4’s competitive builds.

I think runs should have a reroll clause for gender specific pokemon for example Salazzle and Vespiquen. (In more lenient rules Id argue for Gallade vs Gardevoir or Wormadam vs Mothim, but at least they evolve...)

My problem with a lot of monotype nuzlocke runs is a lot of them require some type of setup sweeping cheese that the AI isn’t able to deal with. It ends up being an easy and low effort way to win, but the planning may still take some time. In this game you may need a speed boosting move or the speed boost ability to outspeed things due to having a lower speed IV, which is a problem with this game, so you need to have bulky but strong Pokémon if you don’t have setup. I think IV bottle caps are unavailable until post game

There are but when you’ve got to the forest you get double battles so twice the encounters and a chance of finding both cascoon and silicoon so you can get a choice between then, unluckily I didn’t get that option here though

Why is it (in my experience), whenever I catch a really strong, single stage pokemon it always has a sassy/quiet nature? Those are great natures on some pokemon, but snorlax, miltank, zangoose, farfetch'd, seviper, tauros etc? Noooooope.
